The Haruno Clan's Blossom

Chapter3

The girl's eyes fluttered open as she sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. She left the comfort of her bed and entered the bathroom. She quickly washed her hair and body before turning off the water. Then she stepped out of the shower and dried herself off. She went back into her room and got dressed into a dark green kimono that went down to her ankles and a yellow obi. The four year old tied her hair into a bun and went downstairs into her kitchen. 

She opened the fridge and took out some rice balls before sitting down and eating. Sakura couldn't cook anything more then onigiri so she usually just stored a bunch of them in her fridge. Finishing her food quickly, the petal haired girl put the dishes in the sink before rushing upstairs, into her bathroom and cleaning her teeth. Then the girl went back downstairs and put on her sandals. Sakura exited her house closing the door behind her. 

She made her way to Masaru-sama's house. Once she got there she went inside and made for his office. The petal haired child reached the door and knocked twice before she heard his voice allowing her to enter. 

"Masaru-sama," Sakura greeted as she bowed.

"Ahh, Sakura-chan, I suspect you're here for your mission?"

"Hai." Sakura replied as she sat down in front of his desk. The mans green eyes examined Sakura's outfit. 

"You shall have to change for your mission, I shall have a servant take your clothes to your room." Here his chakra flared and Sakura noticed a faint chakra signal coming from somewhere down the hallway disappear. 

'Probably the servant Masaru-sama said would take my clothes to my room.' Members of the Haruno clan often went on missions however usually they would go in special clothing so that no one except members of the clan would know their identity. 

"Now, as for the details on your mission you shall be infiltrating an underground base in the Earth country. " Sakura frowned, what was her clan's business with the Earth country? Not many people knew about the Haruno clan since they tried to keep a low profile so Sakura was curious as to what the the Earth country was hiding in this 'underground base' that called for the clan's attention.

As if sensing her confusing Masaru-sama continued, "You shall be joined by a ninja from Konoha as well as Nozomi-san. " Oh, that made more sense, this mission must have been assigned by Konohagakure, it was peculiar that they needed the Haruno clan's help though. Sakura mentally shrugged, Masaru-sama knew what he was doing, she shouldn't question his actions. "There is a chance that you may awaken your kekkai genkai on this mission, if you do Nozomi-san will be there to help you recover."

The emerald eyed girl frowned, surely there wasn't that big of a chance that she would..... Shaking her head she focused her attention back to Masaru-sama. "Do you know anything about the Konoha ninja?" The four year old asked.

"I believe his name is Shisui Uchiha, he is twelve years old and is a prodigy." He supplied, "You know about him, don't you Sakura-chan?" This was a test, Masaru-sama would often test the girl about politics and things he thought of as important for a clan heir to know.

"Shisui Uchiha, also known as Shunshin no Shisui. He is a member of the Uchiha clan and is known as a prodigy. He unlocked his sharingan, the Uchiha clan's kekkai genkai, at the age of seven as well as another level of the sharingan, he also made Jounin last year."

"Very good, now go back to your house and get changed. You shall meet Nozomi-san at the gate in thirty minutes." Sakura stood up and bowed before leaving.

The petal haired girl exited the grand building before making her way to her house. She went upstairs and entered her bedroom to see the clothes the servant had brought her were laid out on her bed. She slipped out of her clothes and undid her hair before putting on the outfit she would be wearing on her mission.

The outfit consisted of tight, black capris and a black non-sleeved, high collard shirt underneath a black cloak. She brushed her hair and tied it into two braids. Then the four year old put on her weapons pouch along with stuffing the scrolls that had all her supplies contained inside into the inner pockets of her cloak. She put on a pair of dark grey boots that went up to just underneath her knees before she exited her house and made her way to where she was supposed to meet up with Nozomi-san. The four year old spotted the crimson haired woman and rushed over to her.

"Ahh, Sakura-chan, there you are."

"Nozomi-san," Sakura greeted as she inclined her head.

"Before we head off I have to give you something." The woman passed the emerald eyed girl a mask.

"What's this for?" The child asked as she examined the details of the mask. The top half of the beautiful mask was an emerald green that matched her eyes. The emerald green blended into white creating a gorgeous ombre. A darker green was sprayed at the top of the mask. The Haruno clan symbol was displayed in the center of the forehead, the middle of the inner circle had a yin and yang symbol that's colour spread into a curved line. It was a simple design yet it's simplicity didn't take away from it's beauty. 

"Just put it on, I need to make sure it fits."

The four year old put on the mask and noticed that she could thankfully see out of the eyes. Call her silly but since the eyes were two black holes she was slightly concerned she wouldn't be able to see out of them. 

"How does it look?" She asked curiously with a tilt of her head.

"It suits you. It's also a little big, but I'm sure you'll grow into it. Now put up your hood and we'll go." Sakura did as she was told and when she looked back up at Nozomi-san she noticed that the woman had put on her own mask and pulled up her hood. The brown eyed lady's mask was a lot plainer then Sakura's. Nozomi-san's mask was a pale maroon with the Haruno clan's symbol branded on the forehead. The middle of the inner circle was pitch black with a light maroon coloured spiral. Her mask had the same two black holes as eyes that Sakura's had. "Try not to fall behind, we'll be travelling for about two hours before we meet up with Uchiha-san."

"Hai Nozomi-san." Sakura replied.

The two leaped off into the forest travelling at an impressive speed.
