Is she?

I don't give anyone a reason to hate me, they create their own drama out of pure jealousy.

"How was yesterday?" Emilia asked me at lunch. Yesterday me and Aiden went out for an 'apology dinner for my cruel rejection' like he put it. The stupid boy wants me to throw my shoes at him.

"It was fine, Chinese... what could go wrong?" I said plainly, there was nothing to add, we ate, talked and then went home, the usual.

"Spill!" Lia said annoyed at my answer
"There is nothing to spill... we literally ate and talked about stupid things... you know, music stuff, how London is different from Los Angeles and puppies, nothing special"

"I hate 'no drama' life! You're famous spill some juice!" Lia said and Emilia kicked her under the table "trust me my life is boring don't think otherwise" I said rolling my eyes at her nonsense.

"Oh barbie is coming" ruth whispered "who?!" My embarrassing self turned around just in time to be greeted by Mia

"Hey girls what's up" she said holding her lunch in her hands not sitting down, just stopping by to chat.
"Great" I said
"Well good to hear. see you in class today" she said and went on to sit with her friends

"Is barbie mad? She's so mad!" Lia said while laughing
"About what?" Me and Ben said both not catching up
"She's jealous of you obviously!" Ruth said and Emilia nodded
"And why is that?" I said starting to be annoyed
"Aiden you moron!" Ruth said and I rolled my eyes

"I literally told him that 'I don't want to date right now' why is she jealous about my lonely ass continue being alone?!"

"Aiden likes you, meaning he doesn't like her, that's why she's jealous" Emilia said like it's all too easy

"Then she's gonna be happy to hear that I'm not going to be a part of this narrative again, I've had my fair share of this stuff and if it's already messed up then I'm not even starting anything!"

"Good for you" Lia said in a tone that sounded more like 'if you believe yourself' but I ignored it

I hate that they think that I'm just going to get with him so quickly after what happened with Thomas, well they don't really know what happened except from the fact that he cheated, but even if they don't know, the should respect that I need more time to myself. And if Aiden accepts it, they can accept that too.

The rest of lunch went by quickly, they talked about school and stuff and I was just listening not really taking a part of it.

After school I've decided to go home and have a relaxing evening with my parents. After the move we didn't really got the time to just chill together and be like a normal family, my dad was always working, I was at school and my mum was working on her album even harder because she's being pressured to put it out faster.

I got home and called mum "hey mum" I said "hey hazel how are you?" She asked in response "are you and dad going to be home tonight?" I asked
"Yes why? We are coming back home right now actually, we went out on a walk"
"Great because I want us to have an evening in tonight. So maybe pass by the shop and buy some ingredients for that pasta dish dad likes and we can make it for dinner?" I said with my 'puppy eyes voice' to sound more convincing.

"Sounds good we'll be home in about half an hour or so, love you" she said and with that the call ended

While I was waiting for them to come home I decided I'll take a shower and change to something comfortable but first, I'll snuggle my fur baby and feed him his lunch.

Going to his bad seeing him all cuddled up and sleeping I band down and pet him and he woke up excited wagging his little tail and jumping on me "who's the sweetest good boy ever?!" I said in a baby voice and came up, as soon as I got up the little pup ran towards the door scratching it which told me that he needs a walk. Grabbing his leash and laughing at my self for thinking about a shower I went outside and took him on a walk.

15 minutes later me and my now happy pup went back home, and of course the moment that little boy saw food in his bowl he ran and started eating and drinking, which gave me my sign that I can go take a shower now.

Half way through my shower I heard a knock on my bathroom door. "Honey we're home, when you're done come down and we'll start making dinner" my dad called out. "Fine I'll be there in a few minutes" I said and started rinsing myself off and getting dressed.

Ten minutes later, I got dressed, put my hair up in a bun, and headed downstairs.

"Hey dear" my mum said kissing my head "how was school?" "It was fun, I'm still trying to open up in all the music stuff but I think I got something planned for now"

"What do you mean by that?" My mum said and my dad turned around to listen
"Well since I'm still not that comfortable singing in front of people I think focusing on playing the guitar or the drums for now will help me get more used to performing"

"I don't know what I think about that" my dad said "to be honest, you didn't even try, it's not that you get bad feedback every time you sing, you're just afraid to try so you're backing off before you even try. Focusing on instruments will do nothing to improve your voice, you're just trying to delay it" my mum said putting a mirror in my face "I think she's right sweetie" my dad said and I stayed silent trying to think about what they said

Seeing my reaction my mum gave me a small hug "if focusing on the guitar and drums is what you want because this is what you want to specialize in then that's fine, but focusing on that because you're afraid to sing is something else, and you shouldn't be doing that, the right thing is to just start singing, because if you'll never try then you'll never get better" mum said and I nodded

"You're right but it's still weird for me, playing instruments was always easier for me, but singing was like my hidden hobby, I do it because I love it but changing it from my own hobby to something professional is a whole different level, and that makes me doubt myself"

"It's okay to doubt yourself but don't let it be the reason you don't do what you love" my dad said

"Fine I'll try to open up more but it won't be easy"I said

"So try singing in front of your friend, FaceTime Ali and Nat and sing to them, practice with your new friend here, just a couple of days ago you brought your friend over to play, do that more often" my mum said and and I laughed to myself thinking about what actually happened when Aiden came over

"Well enough about that" dad said softly trying to talk about anything else "we got some pasta to eat and a Disney movie to watch" dad said giving us our plates and picking up the remote "don't get used to eating on the sofa, I'm feeling festive tonight" he said and I laughed "are you feeling festive because we're having a meal together after a long day or because it's your favorite pasta?" I said and he just hushed me. "We all know the answer to that hazel, your dad loves that pasta more then anything" may mum said trying to annoy him.

We watched the movie and ate the pasta and with that the night ended, I went back to my room and my parents went up to their bedroom, that was a good day.
