—-Safiya POV—-

"Are you serious right now? Why are you always so stubborn?" I let out in a frustrated groan. Darius scowled at me in response. Acting as if he was a small little child. "I don't want to!" He yelled. I clenched my fist. "He needs to hear what happened Darius....................He needs to know why you act that way or our poor son will continue going on thinking that you hate him!" I said forcefully. His mood instantly changed and he started laughing like a mad man. Then again, perhaps he was. "Like I care." He said con domineeringly. I dropped every bit of expression on my face. "Oh yeah! I forgot........ Your bipolar" I said, feigning ignorance. He stopped laughing and looked at me seriously. "What are you talking about? I am not!" He responded defensively. I crossed my arms. "Yes you are." I said flatly. I could see his wrath building up as each second passed. "No I'm not!" He yelled. I just smirked. "See............My point exactly.... Now you are suddenly angry." I muttered out more to myself than to him. He was about to respond but I cut him off before he could say a single word. "Fine I will give this up.........I should have known you wouldn't agree with me considering how prideful you are." I was about to walk away when a thought dawned on me. And I turned back around, a smile now on my face.

"I know! I just have to find Aboyomi's daughter..." I said, turning to him with an evil smirk. "She knows more about what happened that night than you do. Not to mention, unlike me, she actually saw you crying that day....." I continued. Darius by this point was giving me a heated glare. Not uttering a single syllable. "Glare at me all you want Darius! You don't scare me! Honestly! I'm far to used to you and your wild mood swings by now to be intimidated by that! You may be able to bend others with that glare of yours, but you won't bend me!" I said defiantly. He was glaring at me when all of a sudden, the sound of the door opening sounded across the entire room. "Your Majesty.......... We have brought the prisoners; just as you requested!" One of the palace guards managed to squeak out. Darius moved his glare from me to the guard. "Bring them in." Darius said in a icy and short cut tone. I sat back down on my throne; when realizing that the only way these people would survive the hour was if I was present. I watched as a line of prisoners were pulled in by chains. The guard pushed forward the first prisoner. "This man stole a apple from the market." The guard explained. Darius looked unfazed as he said. "Kill him."

This is where I decided to intervene. It was simple really. He was in a bad mood so I just needed to use his bipolarity to my advantage and switch his bad move over in to a good one. And lucky for these prisoners, I knew just how to do it. A smile formed on my face as I leaned over and kissed him; before saying. "Come on Darius! Isn't that a bit harsh! Can't you at least let the man live? How about you just throw him in the dungeon; to let him rot there instead?" I watched as Darius' expression lightened up a bit. "Alright, alright, prison it is." He let out lazily. I watched as the guards carried the prisoner off to the dungeons. I smiled at the realization that Darius was completely and utterly in the palm of my hand. Little did Darius know that I would just let the prisoner go, when Darius wasn't paying attention; just like I always do. I observed how Darius' mood got more and more fickle the more sentences he gave. I found that his mood was becoming harder and harder to change. As Darius became harder and harder to approach. Until eventually we landed on the final prisoner of the day; a young girl. "We caught this girl sneaking around the palace.......... She refused to tell us what she was doing, other then demanding to speak to you, My Pharaoh." The guard explained. The girl suddenly broke away from the guard's grasp before shouting out. "Wait! I have a reason please hear me out." I looked over at Darius to notice that her actions had enraged him even more than he was before hand. Why does he have to be so difficult? "Kill her!" Darius ordered. "Darius!" I shouted out in alarm. "Leave Safiya!" He demanded.
