Chapter 28 ~ Fireworks.

While Kazuha and I were looking around we found some pretty interesting things, though I had no mora on me. Kazuha offered to pay for something if I took a liking to it but I simply refused considering I felt like the necklace he gave me was more than enough. Plus I didn't really need or really really want anything else, all that mattered was that I was having a good time.

"Hey Y/n, let's go get some food, I'll pay"

"Kazuha I already told you, you've spent enough-"
Kazuha interrupted me by leaning down slightly and putting his finger to my mouth, silencing me,

"Sorry love, but it wasn't an offer."

He said with a grin as he looked me directly in the eye, face to face, and winked. He then quickly grabbed my hand and led me to a food booth, leaving me no other choice but to surrender and let him pay for some snacks.

I stood by the booth while Kazuha payed, he handed me mine and I smiled at him before taking it, "Now what do we do?" I said before taking a bite. Kazuha laughed under his breath, "well now I think we should meet up with Beidou before the fireworks start."

"Oh yeah,, Is she at the docks still?"

"Yeah, Lady Ningguang should be with her too, possibly Ganyu And Keqing too."

"Who?"

"Oh right, I don't know them that well, but they're pretty nice to me. Beidou knows Ningguang real well" Kazuha laughed after his last sentence while we approached the dock to see Beidou and Ningguang standing together and talking.

Kazuha and I caught Beidou's attention as we approached her on the dock.

"Well look what we have here, Kazuha And Y/n finally decide to show hm?"

"I was showing Y/n around Liyue and we enjoyed the festival for a little"

"Oh really?"
Kazuha nodded while Beidou folded her arms.

"Well, The fireworks are starting soon. Ningguang and I will be over there with Ganyu and Keqing."
Beidou said as she pointed to an open area where said Keqing and Ganyu sat down on a blanket on the floor under a tree."

"Sounds good" Kazuha nodded.

Beidou grinned, "well, we'll head over there, have fun you two"

"Alright." Beidou gave him a pat on the shoulder before walking past us, Ningguang following behind her, giving Kazuha and I a smile before walking past.

"Aren't we going to follow them?" I asked while watching them walk away from Kazuha and I.

"Not quite.." Kazuha said as he turned to face the ship for a moment before giving me a smile.

"Up there??" I asked as I raised an eyebrow

"Why not?"

I nodded as I followed Kazuha onto the ship.
He gave me a reassuring smile, as if warning me before he picked me up and hoisted us onto the sail beam.

We settled down while we waited for the fireworks to start. Though there were a few people spread around the dock, Kazuha and I were the only ones on the ship. Before we knew it, The fireworks were sizzling before they were launched into the sky with a pop. The colors exploded in the sky, lighting up the sky with a rainbow of colors before disappearing. One firework after the next, I couldn't help but smile as brightly as I could. The fireworks were so huge, it would be impossible to miss them if you just so happened to be walking by.

Kazuha watched the fireworks with a smile, enjoying both the fireworks and how happy I was to watch them. I had never watched fireworks before, so this moment felt truly special. It shouldn't be long until the even bigger fireworks came in.

Kazuha grabbed my hand, catching my attention for a brief moment. He smiled, making intense eye contact with me. His ruby red eyes were brighter than ever, the fireworks reflected off his eyes beautifully. I could sense myself getting lost in his eyes as the heat went to my face.

"Why are you looking at me like that??" I laughed it off nervously, trying to hide how flustered and nervous eye contact with him made me.

No response. Kazuha just smirked as he refused to break eye contact. He just stared at me with the same smile on his face until he felt it was the right timing and he placed his hand on my face, swiftly using his hand to guide my face, he connected our lips into a soft kiss.

It felt as if there were fireworks going off in my chest as my heart pounded rapidly inside me. I felt myself melt into his touch as I decided to immediately kiss him back. I didn't want to admit it and definitely didn't want to show it, but i'd been dreaming of this moment since I saw him for the first time and it sure as hell wasn't going to waste this time.

Kazuha pulled away from the kiss for air, his cheeks visibly red from my unexpected actions.

"Well.." he said in between pants, "good to know you feel the same way" He smiled for a moment before I pulled him in for another passionate kiss as this time, I took control with both hands on either side of his face.

I ruffled his hair with my hands as he pulled away and laughed, fixing his bangs as I shifted closer towards him, holding his hand tightly as I rested my head on his shoulder. He gently combed his fingers through my hair while we watched the rest of the firework show, wishing it would never end as we were embracing this magical moment....
