synopsis:

People often refer to the term 'playing with fire' as a dangerous, dark thing to do. You'd get burned alive, not an ounce mercy spared.

Evita Oriel was used to it. The burning edges helped melt and mold her roughly cut edges, and she embraced it. If she couldn't run, escape it, then she'd just stay. Stay put, close your eyes, and maybe the crimson flames had never existed.

Kyson Vance was not okay with it. For a person whose soul was drowned and never brought back up in the light, he was much happier staying where he was. But there were always gentle currents nudging, urging him to go - leave.
