I found me

Heart beats

Mind creeps

There's fear in me

I'm lost

No, out of reach

"Don't scream," I say

"Be still"

Undo the leash

The leash they tied in your mind

To make you weak

To make your light dim

Break free

Restore the great sylvan in you

The sylvan that defined you

That made you true

That made them admire you

That hid the beauty and the faults in you

And just as a sylvan, you will grow

Grow be tall and have deep roots

Roots too hard to uproot

When the time comes I'll ask,

Is this really me?

Is this how it feels to be free?

And realise;

This feeling gives relief

Well it will be all O'er

At last I'll be free

Free from slavery of within

And all the tales of ere

Will be gone and lost

Well I found refuge from the meadow

It took me in and embraced me

Revived the greater part of me

And I'll admit and say,

I found me!!!
