The Last Cookie
"Well, it's been a fun time, but I'm thinking it's time to go." Ned said in a lighthearted tone, looking in the container. A faint clicking sound from behind him implied that he might not get out as soon as he'd hoped, if at all. Turning around slowly, he laid the lid on the counter. "Please," he said carefully. "Don't shoot me for this, of all things." Ned's attacker didn't move, instead replying with " You ate...the last cookie," scathingly. "I know! Isn't it great?" "I said you could have a piece! One piece! That was not one piece!" His last childish remark obviously had not helped his situation.
