Author's P.O.V
Ridhima who was far invested in spending time with her college mates had something lurking behind her mind too,she felt as if she humiliated him and insulted him a lot than needed but then her Mind made her reminisce the harsh memories of him calling her a slut,a whore and a slave ,How can she put behind all these things ?
She was trying to focus on what was being said by her friends but it was no truth that her heart was feeling guilty ,she was a kind soul ,the ones who get broken but still try to steal away others pain .
While her mind was trying to focus on the text written in her book her heart was anxious and not at a good place
She heard her phone ringing and saw a call from an unknown contact ,what she heard next had her shocked "Hello ,We are speaking from St.Hospital your husband Mr.Karan Singhania has met with an accident ,Please come at the earliest ."
She rushed while keeping her stationaries in her backpack,her friends who were trying to enquire her about her sudden departure were not paid any heed by her
She booked a taxi and sat there while her heart and mind were having a quarrel amongst themselves ,she for a while had a flashback of her happy moment
*Flashback *
"Ridhu listen na you dont have to fast for me ,please I haven't been a good husband to you ,I did worst things to you ,why are you fasting for me ?"asked a guilty karan
" Because You did all those things because of a misunderstanding, yes You were cruel ,your words hurt me like an arrow but my parents always taught me to be a good person and I will always stay by my parents principles and morals "
"But ...i..if I do something worst in future then ,my temper has no control sometimes ?"
"Then only god can help you because I won't forgive you and will kill you with my own hands understood Mr.Singhania "
*Flashback Ends*
Ridhima had a tear drop tumbling down her lips, she felt as if those promises they made while doing seven rounds around the holy fire were proved wrong with his deeds ,he gave her those lifetime scars which no matter how much you try they never fade ....
The taxi came to a stop ,with Ridhima rushing out and reaching the reception
"Hey,I am Ridhima wife of Mr.Singhania"
"Yes Mam he is right now being operated in the ICU please wait outside for sometime ,it an accident case "said the receptionist
Ridhima nodded and reached the ICU ,she sat there for sometime and waited till the doctor arrived she went to him and started enquiring
" Mam ,the pateint is in a very critical stage,we have performed the surgery but it looks as if the body is tired and not quite responding to the medication ,we will wait for 2 hours after that the final verdict can be given "
She sat with a heavy heart ,she picked up her phone and dialled Aarav's number
"Hello Ridhima "
"Hello Aarav Bhai...Karan met with an accident ,he is admitted in St.Hospital please come "
"Hello Choti dont worry I...I am coming "
She sat there with her head bent backwards ,today only he was talking to her ,she had insulted him and now this happened
Life is unpredictable they say and its correct
She heard her phone ringing and the name flashed of riya
"H..hello Bhabhi how are..you ?''
" I am fine Riya what happened? "
"Bhabi bhai called us...and told ..u..s about his ....sin ,he was crying Bhabhi are you ..ok..?"
She heard some crying in the background ,she knew it was Sushmita Ma ,she was the one who raised him
She kept quite and said nothing then she revealed 'Karan has met with an accident "
After talking and telling the situation she kept the phone down as she had a lot of people pity her as if her whole world crashed but no she is strong she will fight and prove to be a women who inspires the others
She saw a nurse rushing out of his room in a panic,she called the doctor with a sign and saw a commotion occuring infront of her as if doctor understood the situation ,he went inside, after 10 minutes he came out and spoke
"Mrs.Singhania Sir has woken up you can meet him .He is still sensitive so refrain from giving him any talks about various topics which can trigger him "
Ridhima nodded and rushed inside she saw him looking at the window with emotionless eyes
She cleared her throat and got his attention in an instant "How are you ?''
''i am fine jaan " he smiled
"What happened ?"
"I saw an elderly woman and to save her I turned the wheel and it hit the tree thats it "
"Hmm Aarav Bhai and Riya,Niloy and Sushmita Ma are coming "
"Why I am good see " he spoke while trying to move his legs and arms
Ridhima smiled and said
"Because they are concerned for you "
"Ridhu I..i am sorry for everything today I learnt that life is short and I am extremely guilty for my crimes believe me please forgive me and Give me a second chance please my love for you will overpower my every blunder I created I love you please "
Ridhima smiled painfully there was a time she wished to hear these words but now it doesn't matter
"Its Over Karan Let me be free "
