Ch.21 Fishman island

~Y/n pov~

I shot up and looked around.

I'm not dead.

The bed I was laid on was shaped as a clam telling me I had made it.

Sanji, Chopper and Usopp were sat on the bed, awake.

"Y/n, I'm glad you're okay."

I turned my head to the new voice and saw Camie.

"Camie? Did you save us?" I asked.

She smiled and continued to stir the food in the pan, making a sizzling noise.

Luffy woke up a few moments later and Camie greeted him.

"Where am I?" Luffy asked in confusion.

We watched as Sanji stared at the mermaids with surprise.

I sat beside Luffy on one of the many rocks.

We both had our feet in the water but Luffy was swinging his legs back and fourth excitedly.

I grabbed his hand, which made him stop making big splashes.

"There is somebody that I really wanna see on Fishman island." Luffy brought up as he turned to Camie with a smile.

Camie smiled and leaned up against the rock, "Who is it? The mermaid princess?"

"Nope. It's Jimbei!" Luffy grinned.

"The former Warlord?!" Usopp gasped at him.

"Yeah. We're friends."

"Eh?!!"

"He helped me when Ace died two years ago." Luffy smiled sadly, "I wanna see Jimbei. We made a promise to meet again on this island."

There was a loud splash as Sanji jumped into the water.

"Jimbei's not here right now." Camie sighed, "They left because he lost his title of Warlord."

We were then told there was a ship with royals on it.

"You guys gotta hide." Camie told us before swimming off.

We all crouched behind the rocks and corals.

I grabbed Luffy and pulled him towards me as he was peeking out at the ship and could be seen.

Luffy huffed quietly and shuffled into my lap.

"Let's hope they didn't see you." I whispered.

The rubber boy sighed and rested his head against my shoulder.

I wrapped my arms around his waist and rubbed my hand up and down his back soothingly.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but the ship was full of Fishmen.

They must be the royals.

This doesn't seem good.

After a few moments of talking, they left.
