Chapter 3: recon (part 2)

(kingdom of vale areospace)

we now see a couple of U.S. Navy Boeing F/A-18F super hornets soaring through the skies. both of the pilots were on a recon mission to find any possible civilization within the unknown landmasses, but what caught their eyes is a tower standing near the cliffs

pilot 1: Hey, is that a tower right over there?

he said as he contacted the other pilot beside him

pilot 2: yeah, it is. and when there's a tower...

he trailed off

pilot 1: then there's people living around the place, and i see a city over there.

meanwhile, inside the city, it was a quiet day. citizens walked around the streets, most of them were calm after the civil unrest, but most of them were still afraid since the CCT was down, meaning there's no communications to the outside and they still don't know what was happening around the world

suddenly, the people heard a deafening roar in the sky's distance, people were starting to wonder what was that sound, which didn't sound like a bullhead's engine or any airship they had heard of as most of the civilians looked up and saw two arrow-shaped flying objects that were unlike any aircraft they had ever seen in their lives

kid: mommy, what are those flying things up there? are those new bullheads?

kid's mom: i-i'm not sure what it is sweetie. come on, daddy's waiting for us back at home.

(back with the pilots)

pilot 1: well, i'll be damned with pretzels and salt with a side of cheese sauce.

he commented as he was looking at the city

pilot 2: what a suprise, isn't it? looks like we've stumbled upon a new nation and there's people down there, LOTS of em, but i wonder what the president will think about this discovery?

pilot 1: i dunno, but we'll have to leave it to the men in black back in kennedy, and it looks like we're done here. let's head back home, over.

pilot 2: copy that, over.

he said as the super hornets changed their course by heading back to america and ending their main objective

(Eastern region of sanus)

a horde of beowolves tried to overrun the group of the 10 marines. it's been 25 minutes, yet not a single soldier fell to the horde due to the strong firepowera and deadly precision of the lead firing from the guns as the grimm bodies started piling up and being dissolved from existence, but the marines began to fall back as they noticed the horde getting larger with ursai joined in with the beowolves

marine 1: ah shit, now they got giant bears!!?? WHERE THE HELL ARE THOSE REINFORCEMENTS!!!!!

marine 2: frag out!

he said as he threw a grenade towards the grimm and after it exploded, three grimm were killed by the deadly shrapnel while the other two were injured and as the ursa roared in rage when a small piece of the shrapnel got caught in it's eye and then continued to charge at the marines. but the ursa's head suddenly got bullseyed with a buckshot of shells from a nearby marine, who held a semi automatic shotgun.

the fight lasted for a while until they heard mechanical humming overhead and as the segeant smirked, they see a single super cobra soaring through the skies, leaving the grimm stunned on the ground while looking up at the sky, but the war machine wasn't alone

the ground reinforcements have finally arrived, which consisted of 35 marines arriving at the scene. the grimm paid a heavy price as the cobra hailed down a mixture of 20mm lead from it's machine gun and 70 hydra rockets that ripped apart the incoming grimm

as the grimm were all killed, they searched for hostiles, but nothing moved except the grimm starting to evaporate and as the lead marine said

marine 1: area secure

he said as the screen went black
