⚠️TW: Swearing, Blood⚠️
"I don't understand how you find the colors to paint with, Miles," I said as he showed me his new painting. It was a picture of the garden, and it was honestly really good.
"I don't know. I just find flowers around the Clearing and use them. It kind of just comes to me, like a light switch turning on inside my head." He says looking down at his own painting.
"That's understandable. I get that feeling sometimes whenever I'm fighting," I said looking down at the painting myself. "Oh! I really like what you did with the reflection in the water! It looks very nice!"
"Thanks! That part took me the longest amount of time to make, so I'm glad someone thinks its good," Miles said with a small chuckle.
"Oh well it's definitely my favorite part," I said with a smile.
He started to get up from my wool couch that I made from the tent—which is practically gone now. "Before I leave, Thomas said that him and Liam are going to go into the Maze if you wanna join them."
"Well, I'm not going to let them two go by themselves," I sighed. "If it's just them two they'll end up killing each other," I joked causing a small giggle to escape Miles.
"Keep them safe out there," Miles said as he closed the door behind him.

"Don't forget your armor, Liam," I said tossing him a chest piece. He quickly equipped it and nodded as thank you.
"You two ready for another round of nothingness?" Thomas asked as he stepped foot into the Maze. Me and Liam followed him with a nod.

Something new is here. I can see a giant opening down the corridor in front of us. It looked like a broken down camp.
"Holt shit, you guys are that?" Thomas asked as we got closer.
Finally stepping into the worn down campsite, I can see it clearly. I don't remember the way we came which probably sucks, but we will be able to figure out our way back. I checked the clock to see that it was only midday. We have time.
There were barrels and cloth hanging from a giant structure that was barely hanging on. It looks like it can collapse at any second. At least that means there's more cloth.
"Loot the barrels. There could be something useful in them," I stated as I walked towards the canter of the site. I looked over to my right and saw a human head sitting on top of a barrel that wasn't decomposed yet. Blood was splattered on the barrel and on the ground around it. I quickly turned away and held my mouth closed. I don't think I want to look back at that. I've seen my fair share of skulls ever since that fishing accident, but never an actual human head that isn't decomposed.
"There is a head over here," I called as I looked over on the opposite side.
I opened up a a barrel and saw a bunch of the resources. There was a long iron sword with a few iron ingots! A bunch of cobwebs sat in the corners of the barrel, so my hand got sticky, but it's definitely worth it for the long sword. I gently pulled the sword out and admired it. I took out the iron pieces and stuffed them into my belt pockets.
"You guys got anything good?" Thomas asked.
"Yeah, got some iron and a Javelin." Liam stated.
I didn't answer as I hopped over the broken structure and walked over to a path that was cut in the middle with wood. The wooden wall didn't go all the way up, but it went pretty far up. There was also a lever next to me on the wall.
