It's been quite a few days since Liam has gone missing. By a few days, I mean one and a half weeks.

The day after the giant wall appeared, a lot of the Clearing members gathered at the front of the Gate in hopes that Liam was there and that the wall was gone.

However, as the days went by, that large number gradually decreased. Everyone was losing hope. Everyone but me, Avery, and Gulia.

So as the sun rose once again above the walls, I followed through with my schedule and went over to the Gate.

Avery and Gulia appeared next to my side not to long after. The doors opened and we walked out to be met with the same magical wall that sprouted itself right in the way of where I've wanted to go for a while now. We've tried everything somebody can think of to tear this stupid wall down, and nothing worked!

"He's not dead," Avery repeated again. She says that every single time, except there was something different about this time. The other times, there was hope in her voice. Although, when she said it this time, it sounded like somebody took all her hope and crushed it with their bare fists.

"He's too 'Liam' to die," I said. Avery smiled and I leaned my head against her shoulder.

We both watched as Gulia pulled out a sign and placed it on the wall. She then took a pencil and scribbled something on there that I couldn't exactly see just yet.

Gulia moved out of the way and I saw what she wrote. Hope is like a light in a dark room. We need it.

Gulia turned back around and walked over to Avery's other shoulder and copied what I was doing. Avery's taller than both of us, so I'm glad she doesn't mind it.

I've been thinking about this wall for the entire week and a half. Obviously the people who put us in here built it overnight. Somehow, they did it silently without waking any of us up. Unless, they didn't build it at all and it has always been there just not towering upwards. What if it's like the wooden door we found?

Gulia turned away and walked back to the Clearing. I felt Avery looking at me, so I just silently nodded my head as we followed Gulia.

Thomas finished mapping out the way to the campsite and I made myself memorize it for whenever the wall went down.

I'm currently pacing around a little walkway Amber made a few days ago. The walkway goes all the way around the Clearing and loops in a circle. There are wooden benches along the way and small puddle like areas she made herself. Okay, she had a little help from the rain, but she did really well. It's one of the only places I've been to these past days.

Speaking of Amber, where is she? Haven't seen her in a long time. I walked away from the path and back toward the garden. I see her a lot by the garden with Gulia.

Before I got to the garden I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I turned and saw the red haired girl walking into the Maze. Guess she isn't by the garden.

I walked over to her and watched as she placed a basket with a bunch of fruits and vegetables in it at the bottom of the wall.

"What's that about?" I asked.

She jumped and jerked her head around to look at me. "You have got to stop sneaking up on people! You scared me!"

"That's my specialty," I smirked causing her to smile.

"Well, these are for Liam whenever he comes back. You know? Cause he's going to be tired and hungry and thirsty. I just want him to have something," She explained placing a small cup of fresh water by the basket. Guess that makes four people that still have hope. I looked up to say something but saw her attention was on the sign Gulia had placed earlier this morning. "We sure do need hope," She said with a small, nervous chuckle.

"That's a good idea," I said as I gently patted her shoulder. "Go back and check up on everyone for me, yeah?" She smiled and gave me a white daisy before nodding and going back to the Clearing.

I waved goodbye to her and tried to come up with any possible solutions for this wall mess. I eventually started to pace back and fourth.

"Brielle!" I heard Miles call, snapping me from my trance. I looked up to see him jogging towards me. "I've had a thought about the wall."

"Shoot," I said, turning all my attention to him.

"This might sound crazy, but hear me out," He said. He pointed towards the magic wall, "What if this wall," he said, proceeding to lower his finger, "comes down when the Gate shuts?"
