Alatus POV:
I look out the window next to my bed and see that it's now morning
I didn't really sleep last night, I just laid there, restless, while I thought about how my life is about to change, for better or worse
Either way, I made up my mind and I will stick to my choice, I'm just hoping I won't regret this decision, but if I'm being honest with myself, I probably will.
But how am I supposed to know unless I try? That is the excuse I tell myself, so I don't decide to not join Barbatos, I want change in my life, I'm tired of my father
It's not entirely true that I thought about these important things last night, I was mostly fantasizing about the winged god
And who can blame me? If he doesn't want to get fantasized about he shouldn't wear such skimpy clothing
Honestly I'm glad he wears what he does though, it looks really good on his slim body, I really don't know how he's that skinny when he's fighting in a war, wouldn't you think he'd have more muscle? Eh whatever, at this point in just thinking of random shit so I can procrastinate
I get up out of my bed, my eyes having dark circles under them from my lack of sleep last night. I change into my normal clothes then I teleport back to the glaze lily field, not bothering to tell my parents where I'm going
when I arrive I see that Barbatos is already there, his bright white wings glow in the morning light and makes him look even more majestic
He turns to look at me, his teal eyes glowing "have you made your decision?" he asks me
It takes me a moment to realize what he said, I'm too busy examining him, "oh... Uh, yes, I have" I say finally
"Wonderful, so, what is your decision?" he asks me "will you join me or not?"
I nod "I will join you... So long as you don't make me do anything awful" I say, though if it was from him I might do it
"Ya, ya, don't worry, I won't" he says, walking up to me, he's an inch taller than me, and honestly it's a little embarrassing
His face is so close to mine now, I blush, why is he doing this? I think to myself, he moves his face away from mine and giggles, but doesn't say anything
"W-what was that for?" I stutter, what just happened is a lot like my fantasies, but it's a lot more nerve-wracking in real life
"Oh nothing, don't worry about it" he says, amusement laced in his voice
I look at him, confused, but just go with his answer, it wasn't a bad thing to do anyway so I don't mind all that much
Barbatos POV: Minutes before Alatus arrives...
I stand in the glaze lily field me and Alatus agreed to meet in, I've already been here for about half an hour
I said FIRST thing in the morning not sixth, like seriously, when is that short Adeptus going to get here?
Yes, I know he's only an inch shorter than me, but that still makes him short! I've been called short enough times that I have the right to call anyone shorter than me short
anyway, I'm getting really fucking bored and slightly annoyed, I'm about to play a song on the Holy Lyre Der Himmel, but I notice that he's appeared behind me
I turn to look at him, his golden eyes look stunning in this light, though I'm only mesmerized for a few seconds before I get to the point
"have you made your decision?" I ask him, he seems to freeze and look me over, I'm pretty sure he's checking me out
"oh... Uh, yes, I have" he says finally, I'm amused by how nervous he seems, and how blatantly obvious he's making it that he's attracted to me
"Wonderful, so, what is your decision?" I ask him, trying not to let my amusement slip into my voice "will you join me or not?"
He nods "I will join you... So long as you don't make me do anything awful" he says, depends on what his definition of awful is, but whatever, I'll tell him what he wants to hear
"Ya, ya, don't worry, I won't" I say, walking up to him, I want to test how flustered I can make him, without doing anything too drastic
I bring my face to his, so our faces are only a few inches apart, my plan works and the Adeptus blushes
I bring my face away from him and giggle, that was fun, I wonder how flustered I could make him if I actually kissed him or something
"W-what was that for?" He stutters, this just makes the whole ordeal funnier
"Oh nothing, don't worry about it" I say, unable to keep the amusement out of my voice, he looks so confused, it's honestly adorable
But in all seriousness, Alatus is a lot cuter up close, it was really tempting to kiss him there, but I'll wait until we know each other a little better at least
I can't wait to see the look on Morax's face when he finds out I kissed his son
Well he might kill me after that but it will be well worth it because it means I kissed Alatus, and I get to see how Morax reacts
It will be the perfect plan of revenge, other than the fact I'll probably be dead after, oh well, like I said, it'll be worth it
