Another favorite chapter of mine.
Chapter 16
Chaos
"Hmmm, interesting," A rather chaotic woman of short stature said as she looked upon the cafe.
While you might think that she would be upside down on a ceiling, you'd be half right. Because while she was upside down, she was actually upside down in midair, almost like she had an otherworldly sense of balance.
But she was the opposite of that, she wasn't the embodiment of balance. She was random and prone to sudden outbursts.
She was chaos.
But it's ironic, because while the little ball of chaotic energy caused chaos, she wasn't really chaotic personality wise. In fact, she was proven to be quite calm and content while still being energetic.
But even so, she was still chaos.
And chaos seems to be interested in a certain place. A cafe to be precise.
That was until a realization hit her, she's felt a little uneasy the whole time she's observed the pretty little coffee shop.
Like she could sense a being of great power in there, or rather, multiple beings with a concentrated power further back.
But then another realization hit the chaotic woman, the council had planned a meeting today. She also realized that someone was also looking at the same place as her, Mumei.
Mumei was also apart of the council, so Chaos knew who Mumei was.
She started moving forward, towards Mumei. She wasn't really too far behind Mumei so she didn't have to go too far forward.
She then told Mumei of the council meeting today to which Mumei responded, saying she would be there of course. Seems like Mumei didn't even have to turn around to know who she was talking to.
So then Chaos went and left Mumei behind hoping she would be there for today's council meeting.
But there was something odd she noticed about Mumei, her expression seemed to be that of desire. To be that of wanting, but not that of the power or growth or knowledge kind.
No, it seemed that to Chaos, she had a expression of emotional wanting. Of course, for that to happen there needs to be some kind of person, place or thing to cause such a thing.
But Chaos ultimately decided on choosing the first option so she could possibly tease Mumei about it later.
But then the question remains.
Who or what could have caused such a wanting in the first place?
