The biggest film of the year, what the MCU has been building up to for years, since Esme's dad became Iron Man, Avengers: Infinity War. She was confirmed to have one of the original scripts so she knew what was up but she was not happy with what happens, but she was gonna pour her heart, soul, blood and tears into this film. she would be fighting the Wakanda front with Chadwick, Chris Evans and Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. But due to testifying in Tessa's case, and the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard divorce case, she had to testify against her biological parents. The Russo brothers would wait to do Wakanda and they would work on Titan and other scenes where they don't need Esme. As Esme walked in to the court room, she could feel stares from Tessa's parents. She received hate from fans cause she 'stole' Tessa from her parents. But what they don't realize was that Tessa was abused and she wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for Justin. He was abused until he turned 15 and was twice the size of his dad and fought back. He was emancipated and told Esme when he met Tessa that her parents were abusing her. So now here she was, ready to expose the truth and let fans know why she had her dad legally adopt Tessa as his own. She sat at the stand and the plaintiff held the Bible and said,

"Place your right hand on the Bible and raise your left hand." Esme did and he continued, "Do you pledge to speak the truth, only the truth and nothing but the truth, on God?"

"I do." She said, and she sat down. Her lawyer, Phil Lawson, walked up and asked,

"Can you please state your name for the record."

"Esme Juneau Downey."

"What is your connection to Tessa Marx?"

"I'm her best friend. I've known her since we started high school."

"Can you recount the events from the night of Tessa coming to live with you?"

"I was sleeping and I got a call from Tessa and she was crying, asking me to pick her up from her house."

"Did she say why?"

"I could hear her parents shouting at her. She said she had been thrown out a-" Esme was cut off by the team defending Tessa's parents.

"OBJECTION!"

"First off, that was obnoxiously loud for being the first day of the trial. Please use your inside voice" Esme snapped. She covered her mouth as Phil laughed and she hoped to God her testimony won't be thrown out. It was a major piece to this case.

"On what grounds?" The Judge asked.

"On the grounds of she's been talking for too long." Esme and her lawyer both gave her a look like 'are you fucking dumb?' The Judge shook her head and said,

"Overruled. Miss Downey, please continue."

"Um, she said she had been thrown out and she needed me so I ran to my dad's room and told him I had to pick her up. When I got there, her parents were throwing things at her so I got out of the car, got her in and I tried to her her things packed. But then a rock was thrown at my head."

"Where did it hit you, Miss Downey?"

"The side of my head. I fell and I didn't get up cause I was dizzy and when I did, I checked for blood and there was. I yelled at them that my dad was gonna have a fit."

"A fucking fit, correct?" Phil asked, trying to keep a straight face.

"Yeah, cause my dad doesn't like it when any of his children gets hurt."
