Chapter 2

Kiera pov

In my dream, I hear someone crying.

A girl?

I can move as my heart desires. Am I lucid dreaming? 

I walk towards the source of the sound. It was a girl with wavy blonde hair. I couldn't see her face as she was crying into her hands. She seemed familiar. I froze when I realize who this person is.

"Cosette?!" - Kiera

She looked up at me. She seems...... different....

"Sister Kiera...?" - Cosette
"Who are you?!" - Kiera

The Cosette I know would never call me 'Sister' unless we were in the presence of someone. That must mean that this isn't Cosette!

"I-I am Cosette! Sister please believe me! That demon is not me Sister!" - Cosette

"Wh-What do you mean?!" - Kiera

"I died a long time ago! Before I was even born! That demon took over my body! She wants to destroy the empire! You have to help me Sister please! Kill her and set me free sister! I am begging you sister! Please help me!" - Cosette

I held up my hand to tell her to stop talking as I took in the piece of information that she just said.

"So, so you are saying that you are the real Cosette. There is a demon controlling your body and you want me to kill her." - Kiera

She nodded.

"But how?! I can't just go up to her and kill her!" -Kiera

"Sister I want to live! I want to get at least one chance to live! I don't wanna die!" - Cosette

"...Cosette..." - Kiera

"The demon is getting weak because of your friend's magic! After a few years when she is at her weakest, you can catch her off guard! But not now... Right now she is still strong.... So she will lay low and try to replenish her lost strength. The spell that your friend put on her was strong but it will take time for the spell to weaken her completely. To defeat her you will need your friend's help. You can use your power to help him and probably give him his strength back. Right now, try to practice how to summon the spirits. The water spirits, if used correctly, also have the power of healing. I believe in you Sister! I would love to talk to you more but it is time for you to wake up. With that I feel myself waking up. I felt a weight on top of my head.

I open my eyes to see a sleeping Erez leaning his head on my head!

I wanted to move away but I didn't want to wake him up. So I stayed in that position. But for some reason, It didn't feel uncomfortable, rather It felt ..... nice.

It was dark and was snowing outside. The only sound was that of the crickets. There were a lot of fireflies and the moon shone upon us as we rode in the silence of the night.

This scene is so romantic.... It feels as if it came straight out of a romance novel. 

I glanced at Erez.

Even though he doesn't have his blonde hair and blue eyes anymore... He is still so handsome....

I blushed profusely. 

But I have to admit, he really is beautiful.
