Born as a witch and anodite, a witch from her grandmother side and an anodite from her fathers side, McKenna was the lucky child to be blessed with such power. Her sister Julie was skipped because of generation. But McKenna is grateful and a little jealous that her sister gets to have a normal future while she was stuck with having to safe the universe from some dangerous people/ species. McKenna and Julie both lost their mother in a ceremony that was meant for breaking a curse involving a hybrid. With the amount of power she had used, Alice was weak for a while but one day she and her mother went on a secret mission that went wrong getting her killed. Their grandma could never forgive herself for dragging her only daughter into a dangerous situation. Everyone became sad and depressed, at point McKenna tried to find ways to bring her mother back to life but her father stopped her from her magic in the wrong way. He couldn't bare to lose another love one. Pretty soon, without saying a word, their grandma had mysteriously disappeared and never said a word about her location, not even spells could help in this situation. Everyone wanted to believe she had died from loneness from losing her daughter. But everyone eventually moved on and lived their lives.
