Fire, it was all anyone could see, the strong orange flame of roaring fires, Fire everywhere, it was so hard to distinguish between the red grass and wild flames. Screaming from people and screeching from robotic voices. The cries of battle alongside the screech of an 'exterminate'. The wails of agony coming from mothers and fathers grieving fallen children. Bodies of young time tots lay in the rubble of destroyed nursery buildings at the academy. Purity kept running desperately seeking her husband, she was clutching her youngest daughter close to her, both of them wearing red cloaks which also hid their wings from the eyes of others, she couldn't imagine how many other time tots were suffering through the war. Purity wasn't even a timelord she was an Angel that married a timelord, her children were all half angel and half timelord, her youngest daughter was named Eirene by her mothers family but her Gallifreyan name that she went by was The Angel though in some species they had nicknamed the young child as The Protector. She was just a time tot barely one hundred years old. Purity's other children had been slaughtered by the Daleks, she was worried sick for her husband she hadn't a clue of where he was, though that wasn't new because he was always off exploring, he took their children along with him sometimes and other times she would accompany him and meet some of his human companions, she saw a familiar blue box and quickly moved to enter it when two Daleks came around a broken building, "You are not timelord, you are of angel kind, but you must be EXTERMINATED! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" one Dalek screeched whilst Eirene was crying and shaking behind her mother, "oh I don't think so, Daleks!" Purity screamed at the machines, as she raised her hands and bright white light shot out of her hands towards the Daleks, "quickly run to the tardis, your daddy should be there." Purity told her daughter, please be there my love. She watched Angel run towards the Tardis, on the other side of the flaming field that was now a battle ground but she never saw the Dalek approach from behind her, "EXTERMINATE!". The Dalek turned towards The Angel "you are half timelord you must be EXTERMINATED!" one screeched as its gun raised towards Angel, "No." a Dalek moved in front of the others, it moved its gun towards the others and shot them all, watching them explode, he turned to Eirene "you are the Angel, correct? Thee Protector?" It dragged out the words Angel and Protector, she nodded but was still terrified of the Dalek in front of her that could kill her at any given moment, "I will give you safe passage to cross the battle field, you are important in the future." He screeched and The Angel looked confused but hid beside the Dalek's metallic case as it moved through the battlefield, she pulled up the hood of her cloak to try and hide her face from the other Dalek scanners, before she could run to the TARDIS she looked up at the Dalek, "Do not worry, we shall meet again because I Dalek Caan have forseen it, now go forth little timelord and find salvation. You shall not fall today." The robot screeched as Eirene ran to the TARDIS doors.

The Angel turned back to see her mother hit the ground as the door shut, she began sobbing, until she turned around "Eirene is that you sweetheart?" She heard a very familiar but very different voice, "Daddy!" She ran to him and jumped into his arms where she began sobbing into his shoulder hysterically, she knew her father no matter what regeneration he was in but it always took some time to remember that he had regenerated "Oh thank Gods, what's wrong Tot?" The mental link the pair shared was difficult to read because of how hysterical she was, She kept crying "mama." It was all the small child could mutter, it was well known that the Angel wasn't one for talking a lot so the man scooped her up and sat her on the nearby chairs, before looking on the outdoor scanner and seeing Purity lying on the ground with her back facing the TARDIS. "I'm so sorry my love, I'll protect her I swear," he whispered as one tear fell before he hit a switch and they were off before the whole of Gallifrey was destroyed, what he didn't notice however was how Purity's body had disappeared or that he never bothered to scan for a pulse. The doctor had just newly regenerated after he re-entered his TARDIS, he now looked a lot younger than his last regeneration was and his voice was different as well but he didn't care about that right now because his daughter was now his number one priority. He sat next to his now sleeping child and ran his hand over her hair shifting her cloak slightly to check her wings weren't damaged or anything, she had wings just like her mother and siblings and they were most beautiful wings, gorgeous white feathers that were so soft, she was in the process of learning to fly, he supposed that he would have to teach her now. He could feel through their bond that she was terrified and in mourning of her family. Timelords shared a special bond with their young to help them deal with growing up with the power and influence of the time vortex but The Angels bond with her father was different as she was part Angel, no matter the distance they were always connected he could always feel her emotions and he could read her mind as they shared a special kind of link where all thoughts were linked but he could quieten it if it became too loud. But he was grateful for the bond as he was able to keep an eye on his child and make sure she was coping and she was healthy and safe. He wasn't sure when she would stop ageing, his other children had stopped ageing at some point after they had turned two hundred and fifty years old, that was still quite young for a timelord to stop ageing but it was an acceptable age for an Angel to stop ageing.
