Chapter 2

Time had passed and work seemed normal. A little while back you got cut on your arm but it didn't bother you much. Left one heck of a scar though.

Now as the elevator guided you down you started to get an uneasy feeling. Something just wasn't right. The elevator suddenly stopped as sirens rang.

"Oh 343..."

You had heard about the elevators messing up during breaches, hopefully, you don't-

The elevator suddenly fell two more floors before you quickly and repeatedly pressed the button to open the doors.

You practically ran out. Your breathing was heavy. Looking back you saw the elevator barely hanging on, the next person who used it was doomed.

You realized you had paid no attention to the announcement. What had even gotten out?

You looked around, you had to find someone. Someone who knew this place better than you. Or you were never getting out.

As you walked it was pretty uneventful. You thought you saw someone, but then they disappeared. Well, maybe you did see them and now they're dead.

As you turned the corner you froze.

The hallway was covered in blood. And you could hear crying. 

"096? Again?" you whispered.

You tried to avoid whatever it was down there. Whether it was 096 or not. But the crying only got louder.

You closed your eyes as blood started to come into view again. You were close. But you definitely didn't want to be.

You sighed before calling out. "096? Where are you?"

You heard what sounded like the creature moving away from you. 

"Hey...It's okay... I don't mean any harm."

You thought for a moment before an idea came to you. "C-can you come here? Please?"

Hesitantly it came over after realizing who you were.

"Do you remember me? From the other day?"

Its hand reached out and touched your arm. "H-hurt?"

It talks?

"Oh, I'm okay. Don't worry."

It- He, sounded like he was still crying a bit.

"You wanna go so no one else sees you?"

"Y-Yes."

You smiled, "Okay, come on.".

You managed to get him to stand behind you so you could open your eyes to know where you were going. You weren't entirely sure where his containment was but you were sure you could find it.

After a few minutes you decided to take a break, you found a mostly empty room and went inside.

"096, stay where you are for a second, okay?"

You knew you had to find a better system. There was always a risk of seeing his face. You looked around the room and saw an empty box.

That could work.
