"Jane, you can't do this to me. I thought you and Kat were dead. Please don't do this again." Draco was scared.

"I'm sorry I scared you. I just didn't want you to question my actions and me not be able to give you an explanation. I don't know why I did it or how I was able to do magic without any incantations." She apologized.

The couple spoke for a few minutes more before hanging up. Jane hung up and went back inside the Common Room to see her daughter. Hermione was now holding her, Cissa slept on one of the sofas. Ron and Harry had gone up to the boy's dorms. Jane took Katniss back and hugged Mione. She thanked the Gryffindor for always being there for her and taking care of her daughter. Hermione smiled and said Jane would do the same for her, which was true.

If the roles had been reversed and Hermione was the one with a daughter, Jane would do everything in her power to be there for her best friend. Her and Ron would be the most amazing parents some day. Jane made sure to tell the girl that before heading off to Slytherin House. She knew she needed to see her husband and he needed to see Kat. The Hufflepuff never wanted to worry the man she loves.

She knocked on the door to Draco's dorm. After some shuffling and hear the door unlock, Jane let herself in. Her lover was lying face down on his bed with the blankets covering his body. She smiled and rolled her eyes. Kat smiled and put a finger over her lip to copy her mom. The girl placed Katniss down ever so slightly next to Draco and hid next to the bed. Kat smacked the back of her dad's blanket covered head, making him jump.

"KATNISS! My love, you're safe! I've missed you so much!" Draco peppered kisses all over the poor girl's face.

"Where's Mommy, bug?" He asked.

Kat shrugged and curled into Draco's shoulder. While walking around with her, he saw the top of Jane's head. He came up with an idea to get her back for worrying him so much. He decided to act as though he still knew she wasn't there, and just talk to Katniss.

"You know, your mama scared me big time today. She really had me thinking I had lost the two of you. I think we should play a prank on her. What do you think?" Draco took Kat's hand in his and danced around with her.

She nodded. Draco smiled.

"How about we take this big bucket of water and dump in on her head right as she walks in? We can even get Harry in on it!" He said, waiting for her to pop her head up and stop him.

When Jane didn't anything, he started to get worried again but chalked it up to having been that way all day. Draco grabbed a bucket from under the bathroom sink and pretended to fill it with water, then went over to the door to tie it to the top. Without taking a peek at Jane's side of the bed, he waltzed back over to where he put Katniss on the bed.

A few minute go by, and still nothing from his wife. He decided to go check on her. Draco saw her passed out on the floor. He hurried over to check her pulse, and when there wasn't one, he raced to call Madam Pomfrey. This has happened before and she almost died. He wasn't going to let it get that bad ever again.

Madam Pomfrey came as soon as she could, with a bed and her supply kit. Draco took Katniss in his arms and rocked her back and forth to get her to go back to sleep. The baby eventually passed out. Malfoy called his mother to see if she could watch her while he went to sit with Jane. Pomfrey rolled the Hufflepuff down to the Hospital Wing so she could get a better exam of her.

Hermione, Ron, and Harry had just sat down to start their Transfiguration homework when Cedric ran through the Portrait Hole. He looked as if he had seen a ghost. Harry stood up and tried to get a clear sentence out of the boy, but he was too busy catching his breath. Hermione gave him a glass of water while Ron just sat and watched the scene in front of him.

Cedric finally caught his breath after a few minutes. He was able to actually say something understandable to his friends. They didn't like the words he uttered but they needed to hear them, nonetheless.

"Jane collapsed in Draco's dorm earlier today. Madam Pomfrey has her in the Hospital Wing, but she doesn't know what happened yet." Cedric explained.

 "WHAT?" Harry screamed, darting away.

Hermione, Ron, and Cedric hurried after him. Jane was his sister and he needed to see how she was doing. Draco has already been sitting next to his wife when Harry burst through the doors. The blonde turned to see Harry, smiling sadly.

"What the hell happened?" He asked as he walked over to Draco.

"Jane came over to talk to me, but I guess she saw me sleeping and put Katniss on my bed. She hid on the other side of the bed while I played with Kat, but I noticed that she wasn't making any noise or breathing properly. I checked her pulse and there wasn't one." Blondie said.

Harry nodded and started pacing. Something wasn't right. There had to be something Jane wasn't telling anyone. There had to be an explanation for what was happening. Madam Pomfrey came back in to see Harry and Draco talking to each other.

"Gentlemen." She cleared her throat.

"Madam Pomfrey." They said in unison.

"As you know, Jane collapsed earlier today. After running some tests, I can tell you that something happened after her battle with Voldemort. Her energy had been taken from her body, and because she hasn't had adequate time to recover, she collapsed. Jane's body is tired and she needs to rest." Pomfrey handed Draco a piece of paper.

"What's this for?" Draco questioned.

"It's something for your eyes only. Sign it after you've read over everything and bring it back to me." She explained.

"Uhm...okay." He forced a smile, and sat down to read through the document.
