I watched out of boredom as Ashtray and Fez ran around the house all day. Tonight was the carnival, was I going? At the moment no, no I was not. I thought about it, but.. well I don't know really. Guess I needed a reason to go, and so far I had none. That was until my phone started ringing.
"Sup Maddy?"
"Yo, I'm coming to get you. Be ready." I sat up from my spot on the couch.
"What the hell are you talking about? Ready for what?"
"The carnival, duh." I shook my head despite the fact she couldn't see, not knowing I had gotten the attention of the other two.
"No. Not a fucking chance you, and your little fucking makeovers, okay? They fucking scare me Maddy." It was playful, but the fear was real. I heard laughing, both on the other end of the phone and from someone beside me. I quickly looked over seeing Fez laughing at me as he continued going back to what he was doing. Ashtray glaring at me as he walked by. I glared back for a second, looking back at the coffee table as I went back to my conversation with Maddy.
"Beside aren't you going with Nate?"
"Bitch! I make you look hot, shut up. Besides you might get lucky and finally get a boyfriend." She laughed for a second.
"Fuck you."
"Besides, I'm meeting Nate there, so I can give you a ride there." I groaned over the phone, throwing my head back against the couch.
"Please don't do this to me."
"Bitch.. I'm already almost there."
"Seriously? Not even some warning?"
"Nope, bye bitch. Meet me outside." I hung up the phone, staying in my position even though I knew she would be here any minute.
"So you going to the carnival tonight, kid?"
"Maddy's making me, she's almost here."
"Oh. So you dressin' like a hooker tonight?" I glared over at Ashtray, Fez raising a brow as he turned to me.
"A'ight just.. be careful okay? Need anythin' Ashtray will be at the pretzel stand, I'll be somewhere 'round the carnival. " Fez, clearly not knowing how to handle a teenage girl.
"I'll be careful. I'll see ya guys later." I ran up stairs quickly, grabbing my bag before running back down stairs, going straight for the door.
"Yo, let me know if you need a ride home too." I nodded, smiling at Fez as I made my way outside.
"Biiiitch!" I rolled my eyes at Maddy, sliding in the passenger seat as she drove off.
"I'mma get you a boyfriend tonight!" I looked at her horrified, shaking my head.
"Please.. Please don't." She smirked, making her way to her house.
