I looked at my phone 3:30 you said you'd be here at 2:15pm I text you 'hey babe everything okay?" you instantly text back "yes love everything is perfect just got busy but I'm on the way" about 5 minutes later I see you come in the cafe door, I am kinda annoyed at you, you sit down "hey babe" I look up at you, "hey" I say before going back to studying "you're mad at me aren't you" you sigh and go
so I assume you are getting something to eat you come back with a hot chocolate and cookie and put them beside me "here, take a break" you say before sitting down, I smile and say nothing and start to eat and drink you look at me "you still mad?" looks at you "nope babe I'm annoyed that you were late but it's okay" I watch you sigh "babe I had something important to do" " you were an hour and fifteen minutes late" I say while eating then getting back to typing up my essay, I see you getting books out of your bag and starting to study, that's when you get a phone call and goes outside to take it, I sigh and pack my things up and finishs my cookie and hot chocolate and as you are coming back I get up "baby where are you going" " something came up i- ill see you at home" I give you a quick kiss then leaves...
you've been so secretive the last few weeks always late to our study dates and little things I planned, today out of all days I thought you'd want to spend time with me, this morning you made me a lovely breakfast in bed but didn't stay said "it was important" I got to our house and locks the door behind me, I leave my bag by the door and goes upstairs too have a shower hopefully you'll be home by the time I'm out
it's been 2 hours no sign of you so I decide to go for a nap, I close my eyes and falls asleep

you see what she doesn't know is that all these weeks of me keeping secrets, I've actually been getting her birthday present,I know I know I'm the best partner ever, I'm currently driving home with her present now, it's a puppy, she's gonna cry I know she is, we get home "okay lil buddy don't make a sound" I pick him up and take him inside "baby? where are you" no answer she's probably asleep I giggle and goes upstairs with her puppy "okay buddy go wake her up" I gently place the pup on the bed "baby wake up" "mhm whattt* she whines out as she opens her eyes and her face lights up with joy "omg omg omg who's is this?"
