Mia's Pov:

I finally got my boot off today I was sitting in the office as Maddie sat there smirking at me "What?" I asked as I swung my legs waiting for the doctor "You and Eddie have gotten a lot closer I can see" she smirked more at me I rolled my eyes "What are you Implying here Maddie?" I asked her as the doctor came in "someone is finally getting there boot off today" the dr smiled at me "Yes I am I am very excited" I smiled at him as he went to work on taking the boot off

"I'm just saying you guys are just hitting it off very well" she shrugged I sighed "Maddie in all seriousness here stop what your trying to do okay? It's never gonna happen that man is like a solid ten and I'm a five and besides I'm a mess he can't handle me" I chuckled as the dr looked at me "Well honey from what I hear so far from just me in general as a person not your Doctor I think if someone is willing to take a chance with everything that you have went through I'd definitely take it because it may be the best thing that has ever happened to you" he smiled as he through the boot away

"I don't sir just, the life I've had with my shitty father and now homeless and shit I don't even have a job anymore I just want to fix my self before I even try anything" I shrugged he helped me off the bed as I walked around the room a little to get use to my leg out of the boot

"Mia for god sake Eddie is broken too okay! You both need each other very much, sorry not sorry I'm just saying girl! Give it a shot let him in" she grabbed my bag as we walked out the office and going to have a girls day

"So what do you think about Eddie?" Maddie asked I sighed as she drove to lunch " I don't know maddie I mean, He's tall, He's sweet, He's kind he has an awesome amazing kid. And yeah I guess he's hot okay? Are you happy?" I laughed as she smirked pulling up to the spot

Bucks Pov:

"So how is my sister?" I asked him as he hung his jacket up cleaning off the black off his face "What?" He questioned me as I sat next to him "How is she? Is she okay? How are her and Christopher's relationship?" I asked him as he smiled softly at the ground cleaning his face off more " my son loves her man every time he walks through them doors it's straight to her it's like I'm not even on the planet anymore she is all he talks about man" he chuckled I smiled a little

"Mia loves kids she always took care of them, when she was a nurse she worked with children I remember when she came home late covered in puke and smelled like pee after her shower she still smiled and talked so highly about him she wasn't made he puked on her and she wasn't made that he peed on her leg she still goes back everyday and sees him. She never gave up on any kid if it was her job to watch and take care of them they got her full attention" I smiled at the memories

"I remember one of them invited us to her birthday party and we went" I smiled as Eddie stood up throwing away his rag "she's such a warm hearted girl" he smiled as he grabbed his watch out his locker putting it on "So what do you think about her?" I asked him as he shrugged

"I don't know Buck what do you want me to say? That she's warm hearted she's a great woman she's beautiful and sweet? What else do you wanna hear? That I think she's one of a kind and that she makes me go speechless all the time I see her? Do you want me to say I lose my train of thought every morning I wake up and see her and Christopher up ready for the day and I didn't have to help her??" He asked me I smirked at him "What?" He asked I laughed a little

"You have a crush on my sister" I stood up as he walked out the room "I do not have a crush on Mia, Buckley  if I did you would not be the first person I tell anyways" he walked away from me as I sighed "Don't push them together buck let them find there own way to each other" Bobby said passing by me "That won't ever happen they are both too hard headed to even make a move at all" I threw my hands in the air as I joined the team for lunch "I'm just saying buck it's a bad idea" Bobby handed me a plate as I walked over to the table

Mia's Pov:

I walked into Eddie with papers for a house just down the road form him so I could still help Eddie out with watching Christopher. I sat down at the table after shutting the door behind me I grabbed a pen out my bag and started filling out the paper work I sat there for a few hours

Soon Christopher walked through the door with Eddie behind him "Hi Mia" he walked up to me hugging my side I moved him so I could spin facing him and hugged him back "Hi chris how was your day out with Carla?" I smiled as he let me go "It was good, dad wants to cook but he can't cook" he told me as Eddie sighed "Come on buddy that was a secret" Eddie said I laughed a little and stood up "Do you mind if I help you?" I asked she shrugged "Sure I don't mind" he smiled I picked up my paper work putting it into the folder and walking into the kitchen to help Eddie cook

"So did you figure out a house yet?" He asked as he mixed the sauce I walked over to him after I found the spices we needed "I was thinking maybe the house a few doors down from you so if you need me I'm close by and can come over and help with chris and everything if that's okay with you?" I asked adding the spices to the sauce "Yeah that's umm that's actually great" he smiled I looked up at him "And how was therapy?" I asked him he went quiet I sighed and walked over to the fridge pulling the heavy whipping cream out and pouring it in as he mixed more it slowly turned into Alfredo sauce

"Alright shut it off I'm gonna get the noodles and make them you can go do whatever you need" I told him I heard it shut off and him walk out the room I sighed life is hard for the both of us Eddie is just trying to get better I'm learning how to heal again it's hard for the both of us

-dinner-

As we sat in silence ratting chris spoke up "I made you this" chris pulled a paper out and handed it to me I looked at him weird and grabbed the paper opening it my heart melted right there I wanted to cry "Who are these people chris?" I asked he smiled big "Me, dad and you at the fire station" he smiled more "Awee you and your dad are holding hands that's so cute" I smiled setting it down taking a bite of my food "No that's you and my dad" he spoke Eddie spit his drink out and started coughing hard

"You okay Eddie?" I asked he held his hand to his and started to cough lighter "yeah I'm fine umm I'm so sorry about that" he chuckled I sat back down "Honestly it's okay Eddie" I smiled

I helped Eddie with the dishes it was really quiet after everything I put the cups away as he shut the water off drying off his hands i grabbed a dry rag and dried off the counter "Umm I'm gonna head to bed thanks for helping with dinner" Eddie smiled he walked up hugging me kissing the top of my head "Goodnight Eddie" I smiled as he walked out the kitchen and to his room I walked to mine leaking my head into Christophers room he was sound asleep I leaned against his door frame and smiled softly at him

"Goodnight chris" I whispered shutting the door quietly I walked over to my room and shutting my door I laid down in bed staring at the ceiling  for half the night I slowly fell asleep
