The room is nearly dark. All the lights are out, with the only light source being the muted television tuned to BBC news.
It's about 2 am now, and Helen sits in her recliner with a burning cigarette between her fingers (as usual).
HELEN
God... the news is depressing.
Helen turns a light on and shuts off the television.
HELEN V.O.
This has pretty much been my life since my husband Charlie died.
Wake up,
Watch TV,
Eat,
Smoke,
Sleep.
Everyday for 2 years.
Everyday merges together, half the time I don't even know what day it is.
Gotta love being retired and widowed, right?
The door bell rings.
HELEN
God it's 2 in the morning!
The door bell rings again.
HELEN
I know, I know, I'm coming!
Helen opens the door.
Avalanche and Barnacles stand in the door way.
HELEN

Barnacles?

AVALANCHE

HELEN

BARNACLES

HELEN

HELEN

HELEN
