Chapter 67

Changbin P.O.V

Where is he? I told him to come early but he isn't here till now. Looks like I'll have to give him a lesson. 

"Changbin!" he yelled and I scoffed.

"Yah, is this how you talk to your elders?" I expected him to give a sly smile but instead, he let out a wicked smirk. 

"Awww, are you scared?" he asked mockingly and I scoffed, yet I was shaking internally at the sudden change of the man in front of me. 

"But here we are" and I started moving back but he drew out a ductile wire, sharp enough in appearance. 

"W-why are you doing his? We can talk -----"

"NO I DON'T WANT TO! After all my life being neglected and being a pushover, do you think I would want to talk it out?"

"But why me?" I asked and he laughed. 

"Because the sheep spends its entire life fearing the wolf, only to be eaten by the shepherd."  

BangChan P.O.V

"Hyung!" exclaimed I.N and I raised my eyebrows, signaling him to continue.

"Changbin hyung..... he...... he's at the hospital in a critical situation" he said with tears in his eyes, welling up at the corner and threatening to fall. My eyes widened and I rushed towards the hospital. 

In 10 minutes, I was in his room, looking at him with my eyes expressing anger, sadness and suspicion. All the members seemed to know about this, but they couldn't come since they were in a meeting with the higher ups, my absence being excused. Perhaps I was confused, and drained mentally. How could my member, who is perfectly trained, hospitalized by another mere human? There wasn't even a knife or gu----, wait what was the reason? I walked near him, to see his throat seeming as if it was suffocated by a strong wire. I furrowed my eyebrows and called for the security to look after him, while I was leaving for meeting someone. They were soon here in no time and I left the hospital. 

Changbin P.O.V

I opened my yes, squinted them and the tears that gathered up in my eyes were enough to express what I was feeling from the inside. The pain as unbearable. This pain was the worst kind I had ever felt. This pain comes when the one who gives you the pain was the one you told all your pains to. I felt Betrayal. And the saddest thing about betrayal is it never comes from your enemies. 

I was looking at the ceiling when a masked man entered. I furrowed my eyebrows when the lights turned off and the alarms went off, but the suspicions turned into hurt and fear when I saw the same wire again. He was here. He was going to finish me off. A mere pawn in his game. 

Minho P.O.V

We al were dismissed and we walked out of the building, in a rush to meet Changbin but we soon got a call from the security and the news widened my eyes and I let the tears flow. The members must have gotten the hint and they started sobbing and crying except BangChan. He had to stay strong for the sake of the group. Felix, I.N and Hyunjin were crying the most. I couldn't help but feel like a part of me broken from the inside. Changbin was no more. 

Sooyoung P.O.V

I couldn't register the news. How did Changbin die? Scratch that. Who killed Changbin? I prepared to leave for the crime site with the rest of the girls. We had to believe that the news was real. We had ordered to not let anybody enter the area. We soon reached the hospital in 10 minutes. Once we reached his room, we saw the blood splattered everywhere and Changbin's eyes open. It was and awful sight to watch, yet we had to investigate. I saw Bangchan, trying his best to look okay. But I knew he was not. His members knew he was not. Yet they decided to not comment further, for the sake of being professional at the present moment. 

AFTER 30 MINUTES

We had searched his whole body but there wasn't a clue. While we had investigated, we discovered a few keys. The person who killed Changbin was an experienced person. And the training as such, was given by us and the SKNS. My suspicions grew and landed right at the target, of the murderer being a part of SKNS. But Changbin had  a strong muscular and physical strength. There was no way he could be killed by a mere agent. We were working on tossing his body when a sound clinked. It was as if something fell on the wooden floor of the room and tossed a turns and settled back at the position. We turned him around for our eyes to widen, and the hearts pumping at an abnormal rate, making the case even more complicated for us to solve. 

There was a mint candy.
