The day had come, the winter solstice.

All the gods had arrived, including the two gods themselves, Zeus and Poseidon.

As soon as they saw each other, they summoned their godly weapons and started bickering back and forth, glaring at each other with pure hate.

They both had to be restricted by multiple gods, as they reluctantly sat on their thrones.

"Shall we begin" Hera asked

"As we know, both my brother have absolutely no contempt for the mortal word,  not realizing their pride might destroy the entire world" Hera glared at her two brothers

Poseidon and Zeus had a look of realization, and looked away in a slight look of shame.

"So its time to end this madness" Hera continued

Zeus and Poseidon suddenly flared

"If you think im signing any treaty with him, then you are gravely mistaken women" Zeus said

"Feelings mututal, im not signing anything with air head" Poseidon seethed

"Silence" Hera spoke. Although she was the godess of marriage and families, she was an elder god, and posessed alot of power, although she chose to never show it.

The proposition I have come up with to end the war is to marry Zeus's favorite daughter with the favorite son of Poseidon" Hera proposed.

Athena, Artemis, Poseidon and Zeus all spoke up at once

"WHAT"

"FATHER THIS IS PROPOSTEROUS, I AM NOT MARRYING I AM AN ENTERNAL MAIDEN" Artemis spoke with anger

"I AM TOO, WHAT TYPE OF PROPOSITION IS THIS" Athena spoke

"I AM NOT MARRYING ANY OF MY DAUGHTERS" Zeus screamed

"I DONT WANT ANY OF MY SONS NEAR THIS BAFOONS DAUGHTERS" Zeus spoke

Perseus was on his phone scrolling, screaming and shouting was a constant in his lovely family so he did not really bat an eye.

"Silence" Hera spoke, holding her own

"All in favor of this treaty raise your hand"

Hera, Hades, Hestia, Dionysus, Hermes, Aphorodite, Demeter and Hapheastus raised their hands,

Area wanted war, and Perseus was still invested into his phone.

"Its 8 to 7 brothers and nieces" Hera smirked

"Father do something" Athena and Artemis implored

"There's nothing I can do daughters, we cannot go against the Olympic council" Zeus said as he glared at all the people who supposedly betrayed him.

"Dont you glare me, you destroyed all my crops" Demeter responded

"Father you destroyed my wine fields"

"Im sick of judging the dead" Hades responded

"You destroyed all my forges" Hapheastus said

"You would have killed the whole world" Hermes responded

"I sensed no love in the mortal world, only pain and suffering, Hera's proposition makes sense, this madness must stop" Aphrodite responded.

"As much as I hate to see my Nieces being forced to marry, I have come to realize this is the only way to top the complete eradication of the world we love" Hestia responded.

Zeus sighed, it made sense. His own actions meant his daughters had to suffer the punishment. He never really cared, but today he felt like a father who let his daughters down.

"So who will it be, the man hater or the book worm" Hera asked

Artemis was so furious it was a miracle Hera was still standing in one piece, although the queen of the gods sense her anger and was unfazed.

"Father, it cannot be my sister, she loathes men, and can't stand them, at least Athena can tolerate them" Apollo spoke

Zeus was having a headache, he had  no idea what to do.

"Father look, if you wanted to end this war with Poseidon, I cannot be the one married. It would make absolutely no difference since I hate him more than you, me and Poseidon have had  longstanding beef for all of eternity, and marrying me to one of his sons would only divide our family further" Athena remarked

"I suppose that makes sense" Zeus said to which Athena breathed a sigh of relief.

Artemis was livid, but slumped in her throne, she could not do anything, for once she felt powerless.

"Funny Joke sister, im not marrying Triton to anyone" Poseidon said with a sarcastic laugh

"Who said Triton was going to get married, I clearly said your favorite son" Hera spoke

"PERCY WILL NOT GET INVOLVED IN THIS" Poseidon boomed causing a slight tremor in the throne room

At the mention of his name, Percy put his phone away and tried to catch up with what happened.

"What happened" Percy asked

The whole throne room looked at him with a look of "did you seriously miss the most important council meeting in recent history".

"Oh" he sheepishly grinned scratching his head awkwardly. The whole council rolled their eyes

"Father you cannot do this, please" Artemis begged one final time.

"I'm sorry daughter, I cannot do anything" Zeus said, a tear threatened to escape his eyes as he looked down.

"Ill say it once and ill say it again, Percy is not getting married"

"MARRIED, what the hades is going on!"

Hermes filled him in on what he missed. His change of emotions could be seen, it would have been comedy had the situation not been this tense.

"Im not marrying anyone" Percy responded with a calmed rage

"Ill get Triton, then" Poseidon said

"NO, I am not marrying Triton. He's not better than any of the vile males I have hated, if I were to marry anyone it will be Perseus, he befriended my lieutant Zoe Nightshade, and help up the sky for me".

"Father If it is anyone my sister is marrying, it has to be Perseus." Apollo chimed in

"I agree, Poseidon, it has to be Perseus, he is your favorite son after all, and his fatal flaw his loyalty, I have confidence he will never cheat and ruin the marriage" Hera said

Poseidon tried to find a way out but he couldn't, he could not go against the Olympic councils voting.

"Im not marrying anyone, I have served in two wars for you, saved Olympus twice and this is how you repay me, I'm flashing to China, whose going to stop me" Percy said, but he was stopped by Hestia

"Perseus it will be okay, think about all the mortals you will save from agreeing to this"

I cannot auntie, how would Zoe feel, I'm marrying her patron, how would Thalia feel I'm going against the whole philosophy of the hunt. I'm betraying both of them right now going ahead with this, this goes against the loyalty I have believed in my whole life. I  just want to live a normal life, why cant I, can I not just live in peace and Happiness. I fought two wars for you, experienced so many of my friends dying, is that not enough. Can I not just have something that I want in life"

Poseidon felt terrible hearing his sons words, but there was absolutely nothing he could do.

"Perseus, a hero's life is never filled with comfort, you constantly have to be making tough decisions. You don't know how many people you are helping by agreeing to this, you have essentially saved the world from meeting its extinction." Hestia spoke in a reassuring voice.

Percy slumped in his throne, he felt helpless just like Artemis, Zeus and Poseidon had felt.

He just sat there and thought for a moment. He was getting married to the maiden goddess who swore of men and also loathed them, to the point she turned men into Jackalopes. Percy realized he was going to have a loveless marriage, all his hopes and dreams of having a love life and raising kids had been tarnished. He sighed and looked down, the fates really hated him.
