It's Monday morning and I'm making my way to my first class. Like always I sit in my usual spot waiting for everyone to make there way in.

A part of me is excited to see Aaron but another party of me is nervous. Will he pretend like we didn't hang out Saturday night together? I guess we'll see Penelope.

He makes his way in and sits beside me. That's a good sign.

"Hey." I say looking at him and to my disappointment he doesn't even glance at me. He stares at the front of the class acting like he didn't hear me.

I nod my head feeling stupid as to why he would want to talk to me at school just because we have one conversation a few nights ago.

I turn and look out the window feeling stupid and embarrassed. I feel tears in my eyes and I quickly blink them away.

I can't wait to get out of high school and actually meet nice people. Everyone in high school is so caught up in being popular but they don't realize that out in the real world that doesn't matter.

Class goes extra slow today and I never wanted it to be over. Then the teacher decides on the worst project ever.

"The person your sitting next to is your partner for the next two week." She goes on and explains the homework we have to get home.

"Can I have another partner?" And just like that he embarrasses me in front of the whole class. I look down at my desk feeling everyone stare at me.

"No." The teacher simply says.

Thankfully the bell rings and we all make our way out.

For the next few days I hated going to first period. I chose to sit elsewhere so I wouldn't be next to Aaron. I also started the project on my own and I'll just slap his name on it.

I'm currently working on the project when my door bell rings. I'm home alone tonight but I have my parents in speed-dial.

I open my door and see that it's no other than Aaron. "Yes?" I say uninterested.

"I'm here to work on the project." He says in a bored tone.

"Don't worry about it. I'll do it and just put your name on it."

"I don't mind working on it."

"I'm sure you don't but clearly you have a problem with working with me. So don't worry I'll save you from your misery. Goodnight." I say slamming the door in his face.

I take a few steps and he rings the bell again. "Yes Aaron?" I say opening the door all the way putting my hand on my hip.

"I didn't mean for you to think I had a problem working with you." He says looking at the floor.

"We'll whatever it was you didn't have to embarrass me in front of the whole class. Your girlfriend does that enough along with the whole school. The project it's pretty much done I'll send you an email with what I have done. Okay?" He stares at me clearly stunned by the way I talk to him.

"Can you stop. I'm sorry okay I shouldn't have done that." Well that I didn't expect.

"Whatever." I say about to close the door but he stops me making his way in.

I close the door and I follow him into my living room where I have the project all on the floor. I sit down where I was and he sits across from me looking at what I have done so far.

"It's pretty good." He says.

"Thanks. Like I said I can finish it by myself." For some reason I don't really want him here.

"Where are your parents?" He ignored my last sentence.

"Working." I say trying to keep my answers simple.

"Aren't you scared to be here alone." I shake my head writing down on the paper. He take the pencil out of my hand throwing it across the room.

"Really Aaron?" I look him with a 'are you serious face'. What surprises me more is the smile that appears on his face. I'm a little taken back because I don't think anyone has seen him smile. I'm glad It was me who he smiled for.

I pick up the papers all over the floor and put them in a folder. I see Aaron take a seat on my couch and I think to myself why he would want to spend a Friday night at my place?

I make my way up to my room and grab my nail polish to paint my nails. I put my stuff on my bed and lay on my stomach. I start painting my nails a nude pink color.

"What are you doing?" Aaron says from behind me.

"I thought you left." I say not looking at him. I don't know why he's still here. Not that I don't mind.

He takes a seat next to me on my bed. I've never had a guy in my bedroom. "You want me to leave you alone?" He says in a soft tone and I just shrug my shoulders.

"Paint my nails."
