"Yeji, are you're okay."

Swiftly I spun to face her.

"Everything will be okay."

She is lying to me, everything has gone to hell. She told me that she would protect me, that she would take care of me. "How can you lie so easily to me?" My voice sounded rough and dry.

Gently shaking her head she started to fade away.

"No, you can't leave me! You can't leave me here!" But it was too late, she has left and now I'm alone.

Slowly I started to wake up. I was sore all over and exhausted. I wanted to panic and scream, but my mind was blank.

My eyes wanted to open, but it's like they were sealed shut by my brain. I'm scared that if I open them Ryujin won't be beside me and this wasn't all a horrific dream.

My side is bruised, as I trail my hand down to feel it I flinch back as pain shoots through my body.

There was no blood, someone must have patched it up when I was passed out.

I can feel a blanket covering me and the comfort of a mattress supporting my weak bones.

My wolf is tucked away in the deepest part of my mind like she's not even here anymore. The only thing on my mind is Ryujin, where is she? What happened?

It feels like I've been asleep forever, and I would do anything to go back into my peaceful sleep.

I know that after I open my eyes I'll regret even opening that damn door. But how did that man get through the guards on the border?

Ryujin was having a meeting, but there were at least a couple guards on duty.

"I know that you are awake."

Immediately my eyes ripped open and turned to the unknown voice.

The first thing I saw was a tall well-built man leaning on the doorframe. He was strong and had power raiding off him.

Like I imagined, I'm laying on a big bed, trapped under the thick blankets. Quickly I tore them off and jumped off the bed as if it was on fire.

Scanning the room I slowly started backing away from the man until I hit the wall on the farthest side of the room.

"Where am I? Where's Ryujin?" I nervously mutter while keeping my gaze glued to the man.

In a sudden flash, he was standing in front of me, leaving a foot of space. "Well I was going to kill you before you woke up. But after seeing how absolutely gorgeous you are I thought why waste?" He smirked. "I'll just keep you for myself."

Before I knew what was happening he pushed my head to the side, holding my body down with his.

I let out a scream before his teeth sunk down into my neck. Pain seared my skin, and tears started piling in my eyes.

Why the hell is he biting me?! Struggling underneath him I tried my absolute hardest to push him off, but he's just too heavy.

"Somebody help me! Please!" I continued to scream until his teeth pulled out of my flesh and he backed away.

I touched the bite but there was no blood. "What did you do to me?"

"I officially made you mine."

"What are you talking about?!" I screech and use all my power to shove him back, only causing him to stumble.

"Ryujin! Ryujin!"

"Oh shut up, she's not coming for you." The man muttered. "She let me take you, how do you think one of my guards got on her territory? She allowed him through because she doesn't want you anymore Yeji."

He's lying, I mean he has to be right? Ryujin and I are mates, nothing can break through that bond.

How could she do this to me anyways, even though she never said it I know she loves me. Or at least I hope.

"Just forget about Ryujin okay? She's no good for you anyways." The strange man gazes adoringly into my eyes. "I mean do you really think she loves you? She did hit you, right? I mean I'm no expert but I believe people do not strike a loved ones, so what kind of love do you have?"

My head started to pound the more he spoke like I'm slowly drowning under the truth. I need to get out of here, I need to find Ryujin-

"Honey you look quite green, maybe you should take another nap. We can always talk again when you wake up. Believe me, you will be much happier here with me, where you are truly safe." He emphasized. "Now to lay down before dinner."

"No, get away from me!" I yelled as he steps closer and closer.

Grabbing my head in his hands he harshly slammed it against the wall. Dropping me to the floor he devilishly smiled. "Sweet dreams my dear Yeji."

Finally sitting back down in my black leather chair I let out a smooth sigh. It was all too easy really.

Distract the guards, catch Yeji alone, and let poor little Ryujin know that she's gone forever. Truly too easy.

My father has dreamt of this day for too long but just didn't last long enough to see it.

Now that all the hard parts are over I can have a little fun. But it would be less worrying if Ryujin was permanently out of my hair.

Now Ryujin's death and Yeji left to suffer sounds promising, and I don't want to leave her out of the fun part, so she can watch.

Oh, my dear father, I hope you're proud.
