"ughh I hate this stupid alarm" i say as i walk up to get into the shower.
hi, my name is maxine moore, max for short. im a junior in highschool. its the second semester and im already moving out of state. my family is not the richest but we have a decent two story house. its big enough for just the three of us. "the three of us" i mean me, my mom, and my brother. my brother, and i are really close. even though we are not full siblings angel and i act as we have the same mom and dad. we both have the same mom just different dad. angel's dad was a sNeAkY LiNk(no.) with my mom. but then she ended getting pregnant with angel. he didn't want to be apart of his sons life so he left. but one of his friends thought he needed a father figure so he decided to help out. later on they fell in love and got married. that was my dad. unfortunately six years ago, when i was ten someone did a drive by shooting at my dad. basically someone my dad owed money to drove by our house and shot my dad then drove off. that really messed up the family. recently we have been better. about a year ago our mom found a new boyfriend. angel and i have met him a couple times he seems cool. last week our mom told us we are moving in with him. him and my mom are wanting to move to california. i'm not quite sure how i feel about that. i guess i'm kind of confused of how my mom could do that to my dad but its whatever. (my adhd writing wtv it wants with out being on the topic)
right now i'm getting out of the shower because today we are moving to cali. i already have everything packed into boxes and in the car besides the outfit i'm putting on right now.

i want to be comfortable in the car because the car ride to california is about 32 hours. i'm currently living in Indianapolis, Indiana. so its gonna be a longg ride. but i'm prepared i got a portable charger so i can just listen to music and sleep the entire time. i like car ride so this should be funn and eventfu-
i got caught off guard out of my thoughts by my mom yelling from downstairs.

angel and i walk down stairs saying "yeah" in sync m/m: are you guys ready, we will be leaving in about fifteen minutes. max: uhh yeahh lemme just get my phone. angel:yeah same.
i run up the stairs and grab my phone. i saw i had a message from my online friend named ash i don't what they look like but me and them are still close. ash doesn't know what i look like either, but they said they lived in california so one plus to this confusion. me and them message each other on discord so we don't have any other of our socials.
