The blaring alarm pulls me out of my deep sleep causing Jordy's tired eyes to meet mine. She quickly reaches over to the nightstand to cut the alarm off. I untangle our bodies before rising out of bed. I stretch my back as a yawn escapes my lips.

"Well good morning to you too," Jordy's raspy voice fills my ears causing me to turn back around to look at her.

I analyze her messy loose curls that frame her tired face. Her lips are slightly puffy as her perfect teeth tug at her bottom one. For a second this all feels like a dream, almost like none of it's real. I hate that this next thought even crossed my mind but,

I really wish it was real.

The time moves fast around us when I'm with Jordy, but it also seems to slow down when I'm with her. I'd be more than happy to spend my days and nights with her. I even wish I could wake up to this sight every morning, possibly for the rest of my life. I can't though. Jordy and I aren't a realistic match, especially considering she's my best friend's sister. That, and the fact that she only likes to play with girls' feelings only causes my trust issues to heighten.

I realize I'm still staring at Jordy quietly causing my thoughts to come to a halt. I clear my throat, "Good morning," I say awkwardly as I head towards my bags to gather all of my stuff.

"What were you thinking about?" she asks from behind me, and I kneel as I focus on gathering my things.

"Nothing just tired," I lie and she hums causing me to peer up at caramel eyes. They hold a knowing look as if she knew what I was thinking.

"I uh- wanna watch the sunrise?" I ask trying to change the awkward topic. She tilts her head slightly at me as a smirk tugs at her lips.

"Sure let's gather everything and we'll go watch it somewhere," she offers before proceeding to gather her stuff.

I change into a tight brown romper that zips up as I pair it with brown and black Jordan 1's. I pull my hair into a loose high bun before pulling some loose curls out, and I decide to pull on a cropped white zip-up jacket just in case I get chilly. I turn to Jordy seeing she's in a brown hoodie with 'essentials' on it in black with long black sweat shorts, and white Nike socks with brown Yeezy's accompanying her feet. Her loose curly hair is slicked back into its usual no-part hairstyle as she pulls her large hood over her head.

"I guess you got the brown memo?" she jokes and I roll my eyes jokingly at her.

After we pack everything into her Mercedes, we leave the beautiful glasshouse as the sun peaks slightly at the sky's edges. We stop at a breakfast restaurant in the town over. Jordy requests for us to have outdoor seating, which allows us to get a perfect view of the sunrise reflecting off of the lake. We take our seats at the table as other families and couples chatter quietly. I take a moment to take in the way that the sun glows on Jordy's perfect face. The orange hues reflect off of her smooth tan skin as it glistens, and her caramel eyes glow.

I hesitantly pull my phone out hoping to capture this moment. She looks away in hope of finding the server and I snap the picture quickly capturing her perfect side profile as her tan skin glows against the beating sun. I quickly place my phone back into my lap before her head turns back around as I allow myself to take in the rest of this moment.

The quiet chatter and the birds chirping in the background only deepen the beautiful experience. I allow the thick summer air to wrap around me as take in the beautiful moment. This will definitely be a moment that I'll reminisce for years to come, hopefully with Jordy. No. No. Stop putting that much pressure on you and her, especially her.

Do you really think you can be her friend for that long?

I ask myself the hard question knowing the answer is a hard no. Being her friend right now is somewhat easy, but what will happen when she moves on to someone new and I do the same? How will everything work? There are obvious feelings between us. Right? Witnessing her and someone else daily will be weird, but maybe every once in a while it won't be so bad considering I'm Journee's best friend.
