Chapter 1.1

"Oh Sorry. I haven't seen you. Wait - New Face? Hi, I'm Tyler, Tyler Lockwood and who are you?"

He's annoying.
"I'm Kayla, Kayla Mikaelson."

He winks and walks away.
A hand grabs me...

It's a blonde beautiful girl, she's grinning at me. "Hey honey, so you're new here? I'm Caroline Forbes! Ignore Tyler, generally the guys who are going to talk to you today because you're so pretty!"

I smile at her. I needed her kind words. "Hey Caroline!! Thanks for those nice words hahah. I'm Kayla. You're beautiful why would everyone want me?"
- "They always want the new ones."

Caroline and I talked for a while until a girl with long brown hair and a boy with short brown hair approached us.

"Elenaaa!" Caroline turns to me. "This is Elena Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore."
The boy is checking me.

Elena and he seem to be a couple.
She notices that he is looking at me and hugs him to make him stop.

"New face? What is your name?" Elena asks me with a bitchy look. I grin and roll my eyes.
"Kayla." Caroline senses the tension between us and suggests that we should go in the School.

"You're in our class, aren't you?" she asked. I nod.

"Yayy! I am so happy!! Finally someone new."
Caroline cheers while Elena tries to get Stefan's attention.

As soon as I get to class, the lesson starts right away.
The teacher struts in and asks everyone to sit down. She looks at me.

"Wait! Who are you? The new one?"
I give her a nice smile and nod.
She's checking her things for something...

"Oh! My fault, Kayla Miriam Mikaelson, right?"
I see how Stefan in the last row startles and looks at me even more seriously.

"Yeah right. But I would prefer only Kayla Mikaelson."
The teacher smiles at me.
"I'm Ms. Moon, please sit in the back right next to Stefan Salvatore."
I roll my eyes, why him? As if that weren't enough, Tyler is sitting to my left.
Elena is still looking to me. I sit down. "
The new one is sitting next to me...?" whispers Tyler to me. I laugh. "Yeah. Wow! So awesome, huh?"

(After the lesson )

Caroline runs towards me.
"Kaylaaa! How's it going so far?" I grin at her.

"Good." -
"I'm so happy for you!!" She seems happy.

I look at her seriously.
"Is everything okay?" she asks me.

I nod. "Yes, but... are Elena and Stefan a couple?" I inquire.

A person pushes me to the side, It's Elena.
I look straight in her Eyes.

"Yes we are. A girl like you won't break it." Elena is angry.
I roll my eyes "I never meant to."
She struts away as Caroline turns back to me.

"Kayla, ignore her. Important; we have a party tonight, the annual back to school party. All the students from this high school get together and celebrate back to school." she says.

She continues... "Do you come too? pleaseee!"
I look disappointed at the floor, my mother won't let me.
"What time and where?" - "8 p.m, in the woods."

I shake my head. "I don't think that I'm coming tonight."

Caroline looks at me. "Huh? Why! This is your chance to meet new people. Why don't you want to come?" - "I'll probably go to bed early tonight, I'm exhausted from the trip." I lie to her.

My parents would never let me go.

"I'll wait for you there. No excuses."
She struts away.
The school day is finally over.
