His Redemption >> Thomas Shelby [1]

By the Time Thomas and athena got home it was officially 12, it had been quite a long journey from London to small heath. Arthur had kindly offered to carry her belongs up stairs which she kindly excepted

Now standing outside of the shelby residence athenas mind couldn't help but wonder to all lengths would she be staying in Thomas's room? Will she like it here in the small town? Will he expect something more when they are alone?

All of a sudden she felt nausea to her stomach due to her last thought, athena would be lying if she said she didn't know what happened between a man and a women on their wedding night she had once over heard from lizzy the family maid gossiping to the other maids and butlers about how unpleasant it could be.

In her daze athena lacked to notice how Thomas was leaning on the car beside her he wasn't going to deny how in the back of his mind he regretted marrying her there was atleast a good 10 or more years between them but he also didn't want to admit how he felt slightly bad for taking away her future especially when it had merely begun but he pushed aside these doubting thoughts reminding himself what good would come for the blinders.

"Are you coming?" Pollys voice barged into their thoughts, realising they had both been standing there like huligins for atleast 20 minutes the slowly retreated towards the door

For the first time athena stepped inside the shelby home, it wasn't as big as the warren Manor but it was quite nice. It had a homely vibe to it and a comforting aurora that wasn't necessarily found in her home

"I'll show you around the place"a slight shiver ran down athenas spine unnoticeablely at Thomas's cold voice she had known adventurly herself and Tommy would have to have a proper conversation apart from the wedding vows

Obliging athena followed Thomas around from the living room,to the kitchen, through a door she didn't know where it lead too. Taking a look around it was filled with a bunch of desks and chairs

"This is the betting shop" Thomas spoke walking farther in " this is my office, that one is Arthur's and the last one there is johns"

Following through back to the main part of the house he lead her up the stairs, before entering a room it wasn't anything special but it was nice

"This is our room and where you'll be sleeping" athena stood there staring at the bedroom she had completely forgotten that they most likely had to share a room since they were well obviously man and wife but she had know some couples that had separate rooms and in the back of her mind she was praying it would be one of those situations

Through her time athena hadn't really left her house while growing up that much only for special advents or to get a new dress made, just because she knew what a man and wife did during the night didn't mean she had known any men or had even spent more than 10 minutes with one.

Entering fully after Tommy she stood there awkwardly, she had no clue what to say or do she had never been in a situation like this before athena began unintentionally began fiddling with her fingers which Thomas noticed

"If you're worried I'm gonna make yo do something your not comfortable you mistaken" Tommy spoke bluntly "I wouldn't force you to do something you don't want to do"

Looking up at the clearly much taller man she was slightly comforted by this knowledge

" Oh I'm not uncomfortable I have just never been in a situation revolving this before" athena tailed off she wasn't completely lying only about the part about not being uncomfortable

It had slightly confused Tommy about these words until she looked up at him with her doe like eyes did he realise how truly innocent she must be

"You're a virgin" he spoke and she blushed

"Indeed I am" she spoke embarrassed "if it would be okay with you of course I would like to leave this part of the ceremony out until how can I say this more comfortable with you"

"Yes of course" Thomas nodded agreeing " I mean you only agreed to this around merely a few weeks ago for your father and i's agreement

"Well I am the eldest and only child of my father I feel as if it's my duty to make sure out family has connections in the buisness world especially now since my father is sick"

"I understand that athena but I think you are strong taking on something you most likely never thought would happen and I think you courages for wanting to help out your father and maybe one day run the warren buisness" Thomas spoke gently

"I may not understand all there is to being a wife but I can certainly try but I'm sure I can help polly someway in the betting shop I can assure you I am good with books and numbers" athena spoke "or I could even look after finn when everyone is at work or busy I don't want to be usless Thomas"

"I'm sure a few boys could use your help with bookings and I'm sure finn would be happy enough to have you look after her him, I saw the way you were with him earlier tonight  and you were good with him"thomas spoke " and I'm sure our John could use all the help he can get with his lot of kids  I'm sure he'll steal you away to look after them"

With a genuine smile athena nodded her head to Thomas's words knowing full well she would try help out in every way she could, she didn't want to be a sit at home and do nothing wife she wanted to be more than that

"I will sleep on the sofa down stairs and let you sleep here" Thomas spoke walking towards the door at that she smiled gratefully for him doing that

"Oh and goodnight athena shelby" he turned round brfore  leaving her there it was strange to be called a shelby instead of a warren but it did have a nice ring to it.

So athenas finally a shelby, I wonder what os going to happen with a new cop in town and a new barmaid on her way! And next chapter will finally be the first episode yay
