When Carina woke up again, Maya was gone. Sitting up, the doctor looked around. "Maya?" she calls out, getting out of the bed. She gained no response. Frowning, Carina left the bedroom. She found Maya in the kitchen. The blonde's back was to her and she had her headphones in. Carina could see that Maya was chopping carrots.
Slowly, Carina moves up behind her and wraps her arms around her. "Bella?"
Maya jumped in Carina's arms then relaxed when she realised who it was. "Morning." She mumbled, pulling a headphone from her ear.
"Morning." Carina responds softly, nuzzling her face against Maya's neck.
Maya put the knife down and turned around to face Carina.
Carina instantly smiles at Maya. "I love you."
"I love you too." Maya whispered.
The Italian woman leans in and gently kisses her.
Maya kissed her back.
Opening her mouth, Carina instantly deepens the kiss.
Maya wrapped her arms around Carina.
They both seemed to forget about the food as they engaged in a battle for dominance.
Maya let Carina win the battle.
After a few minutes of making out, Carina pulls away. "Hmm, smells delicious."
Maya looked over her shoulder at the meal she was preparing.
"What are you making?" Carina asks softly.
"Something, I'm not really sure what it is." Maya said.
Chuckling softly, Carina shakes her head. "Okay."
"What's so funny?" Maya asked.
The Italian woman smiles. "Nothing Bella, I love you."
"I love you too." Maya smiled.
Leaning in, Carina kisses her once more.
Maya kissed her back.
Breaking the kiss, Carina smiles again. "You should finish what you're making."
Maya nodded and turned back to face the counter.
Carina moves to the island and sits down.
Maya went back to chopping the carrots.
"You look beautiful." Carina says suddenly.
Maya turned her head to look at Carina, a light pink blush coating her cheeks.
The Italian woman instantly smiles.
Maya smiled back.
"Would you like some help?" Carina asks after a moment.
Maya nodded. "Yes."
Getting up, Carina moves over to her. "What can I do?"
"Um... cook the chicken." Maya said.
Nodding her head, Carina moves to the sink to wash her hands.
Maya continued chopping the carrots.
Since her hands are clean, Carina puts the chicken on the stove.
They worked together to make the meal.
"Oh, Vic called while you were sleeping." Carina says randomly as she suddenly remembers. "The team wants to come over tomorrow."
"They do? Why?" Maya asked.
Carina shrugs. "They miss you."
Maya looked up at Carina.
