"I can't believe you're dragging me to another one of these."
Abby sighs, walking next to Louis as they head in towards the bleachers, ready to watch yet another football game on their campus.
"Don't lie, you love it!" Louis sings out, looking at her as she rolls her eyes, sitting next to him as they take their place in the crowd.
"It's the same old thing! Boys kicking a ball around a field, pretty predictable." She mumbles, sipping on the blue raspberry frozen slushy drink Louis bribed her with.
"And what would you be doing right now?"
Abby stays silent making Louis point at her.
"Exactly! Nothing! I'm the one who gets you out of that dungeon you call a room!" He laughs, making Abby roll her eyes for what feels like the fifteenth time today.
"I would be watching Gilmore Girls actually!" She defends herself, this time it's Louis' turn to roll his eyes with a loud laugh.
"For what?! The seventeenth time?!"
"Is this why you brought me here? To attack me?" She deadpans, making Louis wrap an arm around her shoulder, kissing the top of her head in comfort.
"Only jokin' treacle." He mumbles against her forehead as she presses the frozen slushy cup to his neck making him yelp out over how cold it is.
The pair bicker like kids until the game finally begins, the entire place erupting into a loud chant when all the boys run out, adorning their jerseys. Abby isn't paying much attention, she's just here because Louis didn't want to come alone — as usual — but when she spots him, she feels like chucking the slushy out onto the field.
It's somewhat of an entertaining game, two of the opposing team players got injured which lead to more time being added, which lead to more tension and Abby even found herself gripping her empty plastic cup, nearly yelling when the referee blew the whistle signalling the ball was offside when Harry kicked it. Of course, they walked off winners, the opposing team hanging their heads in defeat as their college team yelled and lifted one another up in celebration.
As the place begins to clear out, Louis is distracted talking to a group of guys he knows and when Abby is standing there waiting, she's cursing herself for drinking the entire slushy, because now, her bladder feels like it's burning and she's secretly trying to spot out a bathroom that won't have her waiting in line for ten years.
"I'm headed to the bathroom." She mumbles to Louis, a few of the boys turning to look at her while Louis just nods.
"Use the toilet in the boys dressing room, the team should be gone by now, no line in there." He advises her, and she could kiss him from how smart he is!
She's like a toddler after drinking ten juice cartons as she runs to the dressing room, hot on her feet as she dodges bodies in the crowd that are trying to leave the college arena, probably on their way to celebrate— that's where she figures the team as run off to.
The hallways are silent as she walks through, almost eery as she tries not to decide what photo she'd want them to use if she was on a Netflix crime scene documentary. She at least hoped she'd be graduated college if that ever happened so they could use her graduation photos.
When the mens dressing room comes into view, she's running and pushing the door open, bursting into the room and she's met with silence, just as she predicted from how quiet the hallway was. She's looking around, squinting in the dark, the only light coming from the small windows above the benches that line the walls around all the rows of lockers.
