Priorities

It's been a few weeks since Wanda's first day, and she has not disappointed her superiors with her performance at work.

Although, it has come to my attention that Wanda's demeanor towards her bosses has been a bit more than just friendly.

Well, let's not judge the girl. For all we know, she could just be putting on a good impression for them, so she won't lose her job.

Today, Wanda was called to her boss's office.

"Ms. Maximoff, please, come in." Carol noticed her standing behind her door.

"You can call me Wanda, Mrs. Danvers." Wanda suggested.

"Well, Wanda. I just wanted to commend you on your first week here. I must say, you really worked hard. I'm starting to see why my wife liked you." Carol complimented the woman for her accomplishments.

"Thank you so much, Mrs. Danvers. It really means so much to me to make you and your wife not regret this decision of hiring me." Wanda widely smiled.

"Well, I hope you continue this good work." Carol smiled.

"I will." Wanda smirked, standing up and walking out of Carol's office before waving her goodbye.

Then came the night where both Wanda and Y/N stayed back for work.

It was late, but not the latest Y/N's been at work.

Y/N went to the copy room to print a few documents when she saw Wanda by the printer.

"Wanda ?" Y/N caught her attention.

"What are you still doing here ?" Y/N asked.

"I need to gather a few files for another client." Wanda said tiredly.

"Sweetheart, you can do that tomorrow. It's already past your shift." Y/N instructed her.

"No, it's fine. I'm also done anyway." Wanda rejected, getting a few of the printed papers.

Y/N took the papers away from her hand and turned off the printer. She then placed the papers down.

"Wanda, I appreciate your hard work, but you can take a break. These can wait. You need to know when you're doing too much." Y/N held her hands, and advised her to stop with the work.

"But-" "No buts." Y/N interrupted her from saying anything else.

"Fine. You need to take a break then." Wanda said, taking away the file in Y/N's hand.

"I told you to take a break. Not me." Y/N opposed, taking the file back from Wanda.

"No. A break is a break. Like you said, 'You need to know when you're doing too much'." Wanda used Y/N's advice against her.

"Ok then. What do you want to do ?" Y/N rolled her eyes at the girl.

"Did you have dinner yet ?" Wanda asked.

"No." Y/N replied.

They ordered Chinese food and ate in Y/N's office.

Their conversation started off with work until they started laughing about Wanda's love life.

"I can't believe you once dated a toaster." Y/N laughed, hearing Wanda's stories about the man.

"You can't judge, he was a very nice guy." Wanda tried defending the man, but started laughing instead.

"Ok well. At least you had an enticing love life with the odd men in your life." Y/N laughed, starting to clean up the boxes of food.
