Mom and Dad were hosting a family dinner at their house again.
Brandon and Eliza had flown back from Europe to be here.
Callie had flown back from Washington D.C to be here.
Jesus and Emma were actually here this time.
Mariana and Callie had supposedly gotten in a fight over the phone.
Dad was sitting at the head of the table.
Mom was sitting on the right side of him.
I was sitting on the left side of him.
Brandon and Eliza were sitting next to each other.
She was next to me.
Emma was next to Brandon.
Jesus was next to Emma.
Carter was next to Dad.
Jude was next to him.
I found out they were also apparently in a fight.
Callie was sitting next to Jude.
Mariana was sitting next to her.
Ka'maya was sitting next to Mariana.
Stef was at the other end of the table.
Lena was on the right side of her.
"Okay. I can't sit with her." Mariana blurted out.
"Here. We can switch." I told her, standing up.
"That's surprising. That'd you voluntarily sit next to your ex." Eliza commented.
"Zip it, you."
She laughed, looking at Brandon.
"Falling in love with Callie-- It-- It's a pretty powerful and dangerous thing."
"Two knucklehead teenagers." Jude pointed out.
"Exactly."
Mariana stood up.
"Thanks, Jamie."
"Of course."
I walked over to the right side of the table.
She walked over to the left side of the table.
"I'm so sorry Mariana is being a bitch about it." Callie apologized as I sat down.
She had moved into Mariana's seat so she was next to Ka'maya.
"Ooh. I missed you, Callie."
"Oh, I missed you too."
She threw her arms around Callie, hugging her.
She hugged Ka'maya back.
Callie put her back in her seat.
"Um... It's been a few weeks since our talk."
"Yes, it has."
She chuckled.
"Can we actually talk after dinner this time?"
"Yeah."
I laughed at the memory.
Callie hit me, laughing.
"See? They get along much better than her and me."
"What are you two arguing about, love?"
