Perfuma - Cacti #18

You are the only one who can control cacti so you attempt to teach Perfuma how to even though you're not certain as to the reason how you can control them but you have a theory. 

I watched as Perfuma struggled to control the cacti. It's funny because I am the only one in Plumeria who knows how to control them and maintain my positive vibe. She's getting angry by the fact she cannot control them due to their negative energy. "Why is it you're able to control them but no one else can?" She questions me. I just shrug my shoulders in response. I've never known why, just that I am able to. Maybe if I figured out how I am able to control them, she'd be able to learn as well. Though I do have a theory. Like most people in Plumeria never get angry, I do sometimes and cannot contain it as well as everyone else. I'm going to test my theory of being angry allows me to control cacti. 

As Perfuma struggles to control the cacti, it actually becomes very hard to watch the poor girl suffer. Though maybe while she's frustrated, now is a good time to test that theory. She's stressed whenever she has her morning meditation routine interrupted, especially when it's for a mission. "Hmm, what if you use that frustration building up in you and control the cacti that way since they have negative energy." I tell her. "No, because I do not have negative energy. I refuse to believe that." Me and Huntara glance at each other knowing how wrong she is. "You do realise there's nothing wrong with a little negative energy. In fact, it's healthy to let out your anger. Keeping it all bottled up only results in disaster." I say to Perfuma. She sighs. Hopefully she's admitting that I am right. 

"Okay then, let's try it. Though I'm not sure what to do here." She says to me. "Just focus any negative thoughts you may have and then focus your mind on controlling the cacti." She places her hand toward the cacti and closes her eyes to concentrate. Me and Huntara look at each other both wondering if it'll work. Though I'm a little more nervous than her, okay a lot more nervous, I mean come on it's Huntara, I'd be surprised if she ever gets nervous. Anyway, we watch in anticipation as the scene before me becomes more nervously nail-biting. I don't even know if that makes sense but I know what I mean. 

A few moments of hard concentration and the sound of Horde soldiers running towards us. "Uh, not to rush you Perfuma but we could really do with you controlling that cacti now!" Adora says as she stands in front of us getting ready to attack the soldiers coming our way. I thought by Adora saying that, that Perfuma would lose all that concentration but thankfully she didn't. In fact, it seems to have motivated her even more. I say that because just as the Horde was about to gain on us, Adora had already transformed into She-Ra but my point is, the thorns from the cacti were sent hurtling towards the Horde soldiers hitting them anywhere and everywhere. The face being one of the more painful places. Perfuma doesn't stop until every last one of them have run off screaming in pain. 

"Wow, I was wrong about you flower girl. You can be pretty powerful if you didn't hold back." Huntara says with a slight smile on her face. "I guess so but had it not been for y/n, I couldn't have done it at all." Perfuma says with a... shy smile? I don't take much notice of that part though as we're all too busy praising her for learning to control the one plant she couldn't stand. "Maybe cacti isn't as bad as I thought." Perfuma says to me and I smile in agreement. Huntara just smiles at me as she says that and wanders off. Strange. 

When it's just me and Perfuma (everyone else is walking quite far ahead of us), there is a silence. Perfuma doesn't seem to think it's an awkward silence but for some reason, I do a little. Then just to make things even more awkward, I trip over a small rock on the sand that I didn't notice and fall to the ground. But as I fell, Perfuma called my name and grabbed my hand attempting to stop me from falling. Unfortunately, she falls as well and lands right on top of me. Though it took me a moment to register just how close her face was to mine. "Just kiss already!" Bow yells half annoyed half excited. I wanted to roll my eyes at him but before I could even do anything, Perfuma had grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and kissed me. The others cheered at her action and I just remained in my now sitting position completely blushing and not knowing what to say. So, I do something completely crazy and initiate our second kiss.
