Quackity was lightly shaken awake. His eyes fluttered open and the orange light that came from the rising sun flooded his eyes. He sat up quickly and looked over at Sapnap who was sitting next to him, Quackity glanced at Sapnap's shoulder where his head had just been.

Sometime during the night- at some point of Quackity's shift- Sapnap had made his way over to the Needle and up to the exhausted man. As soon as he made his presence known and sat down next to his tired fiancé, Quackity's head had immediately fallen onto Sapnap's shoulder and he was out cold. Leaving Sapnap to be on the lookout till the sun came out.

Quackity's cheeks became flushed as he quickly hid his red face from his partner. He was so embarrassed he fell asleep but even more embarrassed about how easily he let down his guard around Sapnap.

"Shit- how long was I asleep?"

"Only like four hours."

"You could have woken me up."

"You were tired. Besides, I know my shoulder is so comfortable~"

"Shut up. I-I just meant to rest my eyes. I didn't mean to stick you with being on lookout duty all night."

"It's okay. I didn't mind. It was kinda nice, I missed your cute little snore."

Quackity looked up from behind his arm, where he had been hiding his face. He rolled his eyes and played with his necklace.

"You can't say stuff like that."

"Why?"

"Cause your fiancé hates me."

"Our fiancé."

"No. Don't go there. You know just as well as I do that he hates me. Does he even know your out here?"

"He wouldn't care. You're making him out to be a villain. He isn't one. He's just- confused."

"I'm not making him out to be anything. He became a villain as soon as he blamed me for his death."

"He just doesn't remember."

"Well until he does remember that I'm also his fiancé and I would do anything for him I don't want to go behind his back and flirt with you or whatever. Got it?"

Sapnap looked down and awkwardly shifted away from Quackity as he nodded his head softly.

"I understand. Sorry."

Quackity cleared his throat as he looked out towards the horizon, the sun was now fully visible and casting shadows from all the surrounding buildings.

"I- should go check on Karl. If you need me I'll be at the hotel."

Sapnap broke the silence and got up as he looked down at Quackity then turned, walking to the elevator and out of the Needle. Quackity sighed softly and felt a pit in his stomach as soon as Sapnap was gone. He rubbed his eyes and yawned softly, on the outside he was just waking up but his mind was already in full gear. His thoughts jumped from Sapnap and Karl to Slimecicle and he felt a lump in his throat.

"You really need better security."

A voice broke Quackity from his trance and he quickly jumped to his feet and turned to see none other than Wilbur. His face dropped and he felt the warmth flee from his cheeks as he stared at Wilbur. His eyes flickered to his axe that was still on the floor.

"You seem surprised to see me."

Wilbur teased even more and Quackity scuffed and took a deep breath, calming himself down.
