19th May 2008. 13:00. Malibu, Los Angeles. CA.
Third Person POV
It's been two days since Sophia dropped Michael at the airport and was now on her way to Tony's with some stuff they needed.
According to him, today was day 11 of the test runs for his new suit. He was excited like a little kid in a candy shop and Sophia was excited as well, just not as much as her brother. Grabbing the stuff she needed, she went back to her car and drove to Malibu to meet with Tony.
When she arrived, she was greeted by Happy, who was washing the car at the front.
-Hey, Happy. Tony home?.- Sophia asked as she went to grab her stuff from the trunk. Happy quickly walked to her and took the stuff from her hands.
-Yup, he is in the workshop. He's been waiting for you.- Happy said as he walked to the door with Sophia. Once inside, he was going to take the things downstairs, but Sophie stopped him.
-I can take them down, Hap.- Sophia said, trying to grab the bags from her friend's hands. He threw her a skeptical look and then sighed. Anyway, he couldn't go down. Tony had asked not to be disturbed unless it was Sophie, so he, reluctantly, gave the bags to the girl in front of him, and she smiled.
-Fine. But if you need anything else, you tell me.- The man said, pointing a finger in the air, and Sophia laughed, nodding.
-Of course, Happy. See you in a bit.- Sophia said as she started to make her way downstairs.
Just as she was about to arrive, she heard her brother talking to someone.
-Dummy is still on fire safety. If you douse me again, and I'm not on fire, I'm donating you to a city college.- She heard her brother say and she laughed. Of course he was talking to him. She thought as she started to make her way down the last stairs, but before she did, she stopped abruptly when she heard what he was about to do.
She heard some sort of repulsor going off and her eyes opened, wide as plates. Silently but fast she made her way completely down the stairs now, just in time to watch her brother levitating on his workshop with his boots and repulsor gauntlets on.
She watched him trying to steady himself in the air and a small smile crept on his lips. He was doing it. He was actually doing it.
-Please don't follow me around with it, either, 'cause I feel like I'm gonna catch on fire spontaneously.- Tony said as he talked to the Dummy and turned back around. -Just stand down and if something happens, then come in.- He said, fully turning to try again.
He still hadn't noticed his sister's presence in the shop, so he kept on going with his trials.
He started floating or was it... flying? Around the room, and Sophia couldn't help but smile at the sight in front of her. She saw her brother achieving something once again and her heart swelled with happiness. Although, she was also concerned, more for his safety than anything else, but so far he was doing good.
So far.
She saw him lose a little control and he started wandering around the cars. His precious cars. She cringed. She did not want to see that. That would be devastating and she knew it. Once he was out of the car zone, he flew all the way across the shop, papers flying around, tools falling, Tony grunting and laughing nervously.
She slowly decided to make her way inside. Closing the door behind her, she placed the stuff she was carrying on the floor and looked at her brother, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
Tony was a nervous wreck. He didn't want to destroy his cars or his whole workshop for that matter. But at the end, he managed to gain balance and control of what he was doing. Steadily, he lowered himself to the floor, landing perfectly.
