Hi everyone!
Thank you for being patient while I have been preparing this next chapter. As this story is coming to a close, as well as things going on in my personal life, I find it hard to find time to write. I have a job, I am a student, and I have family, friends and pets to look after. Additionally, I am about to move. So believe it or not, writing Wattpad fan fiction about Batman is not my first priority. I understand that I said this chapter would be out a lot sooner than it is, and I apologize for not staying true to what I said.
That being said, this is not an excuse to send me rude and threatening comments and messages.
I am a human with a life and hobbies aside from this, someone with emotions and feelings and frankly, more important things to be doing. I don't have a strict updating schedule, so I do what I can when I can to give the content you and other readers are looking for and have come to expect.
To those who have been patient, thank you, and enjoy.

Alex's eyes widened as their blood seeped into the floor. She dropped, ducking behind a pillar as more shots rang out. The people that used to work for Wayne Enterprises began to scream as they all dove to the floor.
"Someone sold us out!" Alex called out, Blake nodding his agreement. They both drew their weapons, turning to the skylights and balconies above. A group of mercenaries stormed the room, one attempting to arrest Fox while Miranda and Blake made their escape. The remaining members of the Special Forces teams were ducked behind pillars, hiding from the gunfire.
Grimacing, Alex leaped from her spot, pushing herself up onto the shoulders of the mercenary. He let out a strangled noise of surprise as her legs locked around his head and she swung him down into the floor. Alex blew the hair out of her face as she looked up, Fox smiling lightly.
"Lucius." She said, gesturing for him to follow after Miranda and Blake.
"Alexandra." He said smugly, turning on his heel and moving to obey her request. More shots rang out and Alex turned, counter-firing as the SF men began to hit the floor. She let out a small gasp as Jones was shot down, Bane walking in to stand over him. She fired at Bane, but he was too fast. He ducked behind a pillar as more of his men ran over, capturing Lucius and pointing their guns at her. Alex frowned as she put her hands in the air.
"Ah, Miss Tyler. What a pleasant, yet unpleasant sur-"
Bane was cut off as Alex threw a knife she had tucked away in her sleeve. It embedded itself in the thick piece of the mask between his eyes, and she sucked on a tooth in frustration.
"Well, I'll admit, this wasn't the welcome I was expecting."
"I wouldn't have expected any less." Alex replied before ducking down a hallway toward an exit. She had to find Blake and Miranda. Lucius could handle himself. He always did.

Bruce watched the small television outside of his cell in horror. People he had worked with, people that worked for him, their bodies hanging from a crane for the world to see. No matter how many days, weeks or months he spent in this pit, Bane would always torture him. In every way.
