Jimin sat at his desk, his eyes glued to the screen of his laptop as he scrolled through numerous documents. As you walked in, he looked up briefly and asked, "Did you schedule the meeting?"

You replied confidently, "Yes sir, I have already informed the clients the date and the location."

There was a moment of silence as Jimin continued his scrolling, clearly uninterested in small talk. However, he suddenly looked up and asked, "What about today's meeting?"

You remained calm and replied, "I have mailed you the minutes and reports."

Jimin nodded slowly, his eyes scanning the room as he processed the information. The room was dimly lit with a single lamp casting shadows across the walls. The air was heavy with the silence that hung between them, and a sense of tension filled the space.

"Is there something else you want to say?" he suddenly said, his voice cutting through the stillness. His gaze shifted to you, noticing your presence for the first time.

You took a deep breath before speaking, "Ah, yes. I am handing over this resignation letter. I will also official mail it."

Jimin's eyes flickered up and down, scanning the paper in your hand with a furrowed brow. You held your breath, waiting for his reaction. His gaze shifted to the computer screen in front of him, and he began typing away, seemingly ignoring your presence.

"Okay, put it on the desk," he said, his voice devoid of emotion as he returned his attention to his phone. The sound of his fingers tapping away at the screen filled the room, amplifying the awkwardness of the situation.

As you stood in front of Park Jimin, his response left you feeling a mix of emotions. You couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment and frustration as you realized that after three years of working with him, this was all he had to say. His seemingly indifferent and nonchalant response to your resignation left you questioning whether your hard work and dedication had even made a difference.

But then, as you thought about it, you couldn't help but acknowledge the truth behind his nickname - "ice prince". It was a cliched moniker, but nevertheless, it fit him perfectly. With his sharp features and piercing gaze, he exuded a sense of coolness and detachment that was almost intimidating.

" I'll take a leave then.."

*flashback*

Working with your previous boss Gong Woo was like having a cozy blanket wrapped around you on a chilly day. He was patient, understanding and wasn't too picky about the small details. You had developed a rapport with him and the work environment was comfortable and easy-going. You could always count on him to listen to your ideas and give you constructive feedback.

So, when he announced that he was being transferred, you were initially taken aback. You couldn't imagine working without him as your boss. But what really shocked you was the fact that he was being replaced by a man who was younger than you.

"Boss, are you really being transferred?" you exclaimed, disbelief written all over your face. "And who's going to take your place? A silver spoon successor? You've got to be kidding me."

"Ah.. Y/n.. " Krystal's voice trailed off as she noticed your expression. You gave her a confident look, as if to say "I stand by what I said." You were not going to back down from your opinion.

"I mean, am I wrong?" you continued, your voice gaining strength. "I'm not going to work under some inexperienced kid and babysit him! How is he going to save the company-"

Your words were cut off as you noticed everyone's gaze shift behind you. You turned around, feeling a knot form in your stomach.

And there he was - your new boss, staring you down with a piercing gaze.
He stood with his hands in his pockets, his posture exuding an air of confidence and control. His eyes were piercing, and you felt as though he could see right through you. Jimin had a commanding presence that made it impossible to ignore him.

You stood there in silence, frozen in your tracks, as you recalled every word that had slipped out of your mouth just moments ago. You remembered how you had carelessly referred to him as an "inexperienced kid" and how you couldn't possibly "babysit" him. These words had flown out of your mouth without a second thought, but now, as you watched Krystal's expression turn from one of surprise to one of concern, you realized the gravity of your mistake.

"How much did you hear?" As you spoke, you couldn't help but feel the weight of your words hanging in the air. You had said your thoughts out loud, and before you could stop yourself, you heard a sharp gasp from Krystal. You turned to face her, your cheeks burning with embarrassment.

Shit..

Jimin stood with his hands tucked into his pockets, his sharp eyes and intimidating posture commanding attention. As he spoke, his words were laced with a hint of sarcasm and amusement.

"Right from the 'silver spoon successor'," he remarked, his voice dripping with disdain. As he spoke, his words hung in the air like a dark cloud, casting a foreboding shadow over the unlucky recipient of his barbs.

You're gonna get fired...Aren't you?

Hoseok tried to diffuse the awkwardness that had settled over the room after Jimin's abrupt interruption. He chuckled nervously, a small smile playing on his lips, as he tried to ease the tension.

"Ah... Haha... Please don't mind her," he said, gesturing towards Jimin. "Everyone, this is-"

But before he could finish his sentence, Jimin cut him off. His eyes were locked onto yours, and you could feel the weight of his gaze on you. His voice was sharp and commanding as he spoke.

"Let's get past the introduction. You all known who I am. When will the next issue be released?"

His gaze caught you off guard, and you fumbled for your planner, trying to compose yourself. As you flipped through the pages, trying to find the correct date, you couldn't help but feel a sense of intimidation.

Jimin's voice echoed through the office, commanding attention and respect. His words were brief and to the point, yet they carried a weight that left everyone in the room feeling the gravity of the situation. Thirty minutes - that was all the time they had to prepare for the meeting. It was a crucial moment, and Jimin knew it.

As he walked out of the room, his gaze lingered on you for a moment. You could feel his eyes on you, and it sent a shiver down your spine

"Are you crazy?!" Krystal's voice rang out sharp and cutting as her hand connected with your back in a stinging slap. You stumbled forward, caught off guard by the sudden outburst, but before you could even process what had just happened, Hoseok spoke up.

"Prepare to be fired," he said with a grin on his face. His tone was light, almost playful, but there was a hint of something darker lurking just beneath the surface. It's easy to be misled by a sweet demeanour, but only those who work here understand how terrifying that smile can be.
