"Lei, wake up, we're here"

She opened her eyes, rubbing them gently. Blinking, adjusting to the brightness in front of her.

"Where... are we?" she asked, her head turning nonstop.

Both Lei and George stepped out of the taxi and walked through the beautifully landscaped lawn to a nice and average-sized home.

"We're at my parents' place, have you forgotten?" George knocked on the door, chuckling at Lei who was surprised at the information she heard.

"Wait, are we really?" just then, footsteps were audible, "Well..." he trailed off as the door flung open.

"Oh, it's you both, come in, come in" his mother welcomed them with a big hug and let them inside.

"Woah, y'all have an amazing house auntie!" Lei lightly squealed, her eyes browsing the whole house.

"It's not that amazing, darling –" Mrs. Davidson got cut off by Lei squealing more. She ran to one of the shelves and grabbed a picture frame.

"Look at what we have here..." she mumbled. Mrs. Davidson then went to her and checked on what she was looking at.

A baby picture of her little man, George.

"He's too happy here, oh my" she giggled pointing at another picture of baby George.

"Hey, stop looking at my photos" he went ahead and grabbed the picture frame Lei was holding and covered the rest of the frames, his hands stretched all the way. It wasn't even enough to cover everything.

"Alright, alright, you're getting so hyped about it" the two ladies just laughed it out.

Lei spent the whole day with the Davidsons. Just casually having conversations, telling moments of their lives, and going through George's photobooks.

"Well, that was something," he said as they both were waiting for their Uber to arrive.

"What?" he said as he just stared at the girl beside him, smiling from eye to eye. "You look better now, but you're still that cute little George from a few years back"

"Oh shut it" she just laughed, tickling him slightly.

"Oh yeah, I couldn't talk to you about this earlier but on our way here, you were...not screaming loudly, but yeah, screaming, and also babbling some words, I couldn't understand it though. You were dreaming that's for sure, but what was it about though? Is it something bad?"

"I was...screaming??" Lei mumbled, "Yeah, a bit"

"Well, it is something bad...and weird"

"And I don't even wanna remember it"

"It's that bad and weird?? Okay, I won't mention it again." George said before hugging her and patting her head.

"Don't worry, it's just a bad nightmare, it won't come again, hm." As he was patting her, the uber arrived and both jumped in and headed home.
