He was in the middle of his third affirmation when his phone buzzed on the counter, he flipped it over to see that it was Shen texting him.

It had been about two months since the night at the studio and the two had kept in touch. A couple of texts throughout the day turned into a couple FaceTime calls, they were honestly just enjoying each other's company.
Once he sat the phone down he glanced at himself in the mirror hoping that today would go as planned. He couldn't finish his thoughts due to them being interrupted by a growling sound coming from his stomach making him rub it.
He quickly made his way to the kitchen. Opening the fridge he glanced over everything he had and settled on making an egg frittata. He pulled out his skillet and some oil then turned on the stove. As he was scrolling on TikTok waiting for the oil to heat up he got an incoming call from Shen.
"Yes, Shen? You just texted me." He spoke into the phone sarcastically.
"Well hey to you too Wiz." She responded with the same energy.
"Girl you better speak before you get hung up on. Matter-fact where are you?" He said realizing her background was different than usual.
