Do It Together!

Y/n's Pov:

I rushed inside and saw Shota sitting there.

"Hey what happened?" I asked worriedly. He looked devastated. "We lost someone."

I sighed sadly. I brought him into a hug and we stayed like that for awhile. "But we saved the girl."

I pulled away and smiled at him. "Then that's what matters." He nodded. "Technically, Midoriya and Mirio saved her so." My smile grew.

Those dumb kids.

"So what now?" He sighed. "Well the girl, Eri, is sleeping right now." I nodded.

"We're gonna wait until she's awake to do anything. Right now she just needs rest." Poor girl.

"Alright, do you want to wait here?" He shook his head. "I need coffee." I laughed a bit.

"Let's get some then."

After a quick coffee run, we came back to the hospital.

"Mr. Aizawa!" Midoriya came running. "What is it?" Shota asked. "Eri is awake now."

He nodded and we followed him to her hospital room. "What do we do?" I asked.

"You go talk to her." I looked at him confused. "Why me?" He grabbed my coffee and bag of donuts.

"Because she might feel better if another girl goes in there." I looked back at the room.

"Alright." I opened the door and walked in. I shut it and went over to the bed.

"Hello?" She saw me and pulled the cover closer to her. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."

She looked at me big-eyed. I grabbed a chair and put it close to the bed. I sat and spoke.

"My name is L/n what's yours?" I asked. She just kept staring at me. I had an idea.

"Do you want some candy?" I dug through my pocket. "I think I still have some from this morning."

I found one and placed it on the bed. I scooted it closer to her so she could reach it.

She was hesitant and first but then she grabbed it and looked at it. "Do you need help unwrapping it?"

She looked at me again. She handed it to me. I took it and unwrapped it but made sure not to touch it.

I handed it back and she put it in her mouth. I saw her eyes go big again. "Is it good?" I asked with a smile.

She nodded. "Good." Wow her voice sounds so small. "That's good." What do I ask her?

"So do you know what a bunny is?" She looked at me confused. I slowly pulled out my phone and pulled up pictures of bunnies.

I slid the phone over for her to look at. "See bunnies." She grabbed the phone and looked at them in awe.

I smiled at her. "Do you want to see more animals?" She looked up and nodded.

I slowly approached her and sat next to her on the bed. I scrolled on my phone and showed her.

She seemed so interested.

"What are these?" I yawned and looks at the photo.

"Those are ants." She nodded and kept scrolling through the pictures. "What about these?"

I looked. "Those are fire ants." She nodded. How long have I been here? It feels late.

"Eri could I see my phone for a second." She handed it to me and I checked the time.

Jesus, it's eight at night! I've been here for six hours!

I handed the phone back. I was about to get up but she grabbed my hand. "Please stay."

Dammit, she's adorable.

"I'm not going anywhere I just need to use the bathroom." She nodded and let go. I quickly left and saw Shota sitting in the waiting room asleep.

I walked over and woke him. "Hey." He rubbed his eyes. "Hey what happened?"

"Nothing we've been sitting in there for six hours looking at animals and insects." He looked at me confused.

"Why?" I sighed. "Because she likes looking at them." He nodded. "Well it's late do you want to head home?"

I nodded. "Yeah let me go say goodbye." He got up and followed me to the room.

I walked inside and stood by the bed. "Eri." She looked up at me. "It's time for me to go home."

She nodded and handed my phone back. I was about to speak when she threw the covers off of her and tried getting out of bed.

"Woah what are you doing?" I asked worriedly. "You said it's time to go home."

Does she think I'm taking her home with me?

"Eri I'm sorry. But you have to stay here." She looked sad. "Why?" I tried to keep a brave face.

"Because you still need to get better." She looked down at her lap then quickly looked back at me.

"When I get better then can I go with you?" I can't. I know that. "Okay." I helped her back into bed.

I put the covers over her and tucked her in. "I'll be back okay. The faster you sleep the faster I'll be back." She nodded.

I smiled at her and then walked out. Shota saw my face but waited until we were in the car to say anything.

"What's wrong?" I put my hands on my face. "I just told that little girl when she gets better I would take her home with me." I groaned.

Why did I do that? "Well, at least she trusts you." I looked at him. "She won't once she realizes I lied."

He didn't say anything for a while. "What if you don't?"

I looked at him confused. "What do you mean?" He shrugged. "What if you don't lie."

Is he- "Are you saying after she gets better I should take her home with me?"

"I mean, what harm can it do?" I laughed a bit. "I don't know how to take care of a child!"

"Neither do I." The car stopped and he looked at me. "But we can figure it out right?"

He wants to take care of a child together? I don't know what to say. I just nodded and looked out the window.

He wants to do it together.
