Just like every morning, Bly, Aayla, and Reno walked into town together for work. The walk never took more than fifteen minutes, but always held good conversations. Today's topic focused around Reno- and to much of his annoyance, what had happened between him and Faylin.
"So Reno," Bly said slyly right as their walk started.
"Here it goes." Reno said as he rolled his eyes at Bly.
"What actually happened between you and Faylin? Because I'm guessing most of it was to get back at Sid and I."
"All of it was to get back at you and Sid." Reno put extra emphasis on 'all'.
"Then why were you outside in the first place?"
"You two fell asleep but we kept talking so we went outside so we didn't wake you up." Reno said quickly.
"What did you talk about?" Aayla asked.
"She asked what the war was like. So I told her." Reno answered honestly.
"So you don't like Faylin even a little bit?" Bly asked, smirking.
"I feel like a teenager being interrogated in those Holomovies." Reno said.
"That doesn't answer the question." Bly said.
"I don't know, vods." Reno's face turned a shade darker as he blushed. "Maybe a little."
"I think you do, Reno. You never talk about the war to anyone- hardly us anymore." Bly said honestly.
"Reno, on Simocadia, Bly said you had a soft side. I didn't believe him to be honest. The first time I saw your genuine soft side was when you were talking to Faylin last night." Aayla explained kindly.
Reno stayed quiet. "She's easy to talk to" he said after a minute. "Most people are always apologizing for the war, and they never actually listen. But she did." Reno said quietly. "Can we talk about something else?" Reno asked after a minute of silence.
.oOo.
Aayla walked into the school half an hour before school started, just like every other day. Faylin was already there, grading papers and sipping on her tea.
Faylin looked up from her work as Aayla walked up to her. "Good morning!" She smiled and continued working.
Aayla pulled a chair from a students table with the force and set it next to Faylin's desk. She then sat herself down comfortably.
"It's so cool when you do that." Faylin said in awe of Aayla's Jedi abilities.
"Thanks!" Aayla sat there for a minute, twiddling with her thumbs. "Sooooooo... you and Reno, huh?"
Faylin burst out in laughter. After a minute of laughter, she finally stopped. "Oh no, that was just to throw Sid off. Reno and I kept talking after you and Bly fell asleep and we didn't want to wake you up, so we went out there to talk. Then I guess we fell asleep and woke up like that. I woke up early enough in the conversation to hear Reno say he was gonna get Sid back. He had told me all about his pranks during the war so I thought he'd be okay with that. And he was I guess... ya know, since he got back at Sid." Faylin laughed.
Aayla sarcastically agreed. "Sureeee."
"Ca'mon, Aayla. Why don't you believe me?" Faylin whined.
"No, I do." Aayla said honestly while standing up and moving the chair back using the Force.
"Still awesome." Faylin smiled.
Aayla was about to walk out of Faylin's classroom and into hers, when she heard Faylin start talking.
