Slowly swaying back and forth I sit rested on a swing, my feet still situated on the floor. Rain pours around me as I close my eyes, opening my senses to listen to the calming sound of rain drops as they hit the surface below.

Though my blissful silence is soon interrupted.

The swing beside me rattles and slightly creaks. Swiftly glancing to my side I see a boy with dark black hair.

"You know what you need to do."

An eerie feeling bolts through me and I think back to Millie.

No I can't. I cant bring myself to do it.

"No," I state and hear a chuckle from next to me.

"Aiko, you don't have a choice. You either kill her or I kill you."

"I'm working on it!" I exclaim, annoyance beaming through me.

"You have 2 days."

I shoot my eyes open, measuring my surroundings.

If only that was just a dream.

Usually when things are stressing me out I'll dream about the exact scenario over and over again.

Millie lays cuddled up beside me, the morning mist filling my senses.

I have one day. One day which is today.

A pocket knife sits cornered in the back pocket of my pants, but I can't bring myself to move it.

"Hey go back to sleep," Millie whispers, her voice beaming with exhaustion and I do.

An array of blacks and silvers shine through my eyes as my gaze lays fixated on the bike in front of me.

A lot of people don't know this but since I can't afford a car I settled for a motorbike instead.

Plus it makes me look badass.

Since I have a big mess to clean up today I decided I would start by picked Millie up.

The bike almost growls beneath me, storming through traffic, only leaving dust behind me. Steering through an almost empty street of people I make it to Millie's house.

Hopping off the bike and leaning it against the mailbox I make my way to her door and knock three times. As the door opens a gust of wind blows into my face.

"Aiko? What are you doing here?" Akira asks.

"Is Millie home?"

I hear her chuckle.

"Oh yeah? How come?" She states, resting against the doorframe.

I scoff.

"Asking for a friend," I add with a smile and I watch as she rolls her eyes.

"Millie your girlfriends here!" She exclaims flashing me a wink before running off.

Millie quickly appears at the door.

"Hey," she pants, out of breath from running down the stairs.

"Hey, eager to see me?" I remark and she smiles.

"Maybe a little bit."

Grabbing her hand I lead her out the door, but even accompanied by her touch a hollow feeling erupts in my stomach.

What am I doing...

"Damn, this is todays ride?"

"You like it?" I question.

"Your so hot," she states and we both burst out in laughter.

"Well don't look too disappointed," I remark sarcastically, seeing the excitement beaming off her face.

Grabbing onto the handles, I feel Millie wraps her hands around my waist, burrowing her chin into my shoulder.

She's wearing an oversized vintage, black shirt hanging over a pair of denim shorts. Though I try not to admire her outfit for too long, instead adding it to all the others cataloged in my head rent free.

Swirling through traffic we make it to an almost empty part of the city, trees sectioned in the middle part of the road in a row. The leaves fall onto the road below, bumping the bike as we shoot across them.

The air feels uneasy and almost unsettling as we make our way up to an abandoned building.

Am I a bad person?

"Aiko, what are we doing here?"

"It's a surprise," I lie, covering her eyes and taking her by the hand after we step off the bike and lean it against a wall outside.

"No peaking!"

I'm definitely a bad person.

Leading her through the hallways and past rooms I pass the boy who was on the swing, he gives me a smirk before turning away. I even pass Eri, avoiding eye contact.

I don't think I can look anyone in the eye until we get out of here. My heart can't take it.

"Are we almost there? We've been walking for a while now," she comments and I feel my head start to pound.

"Almost..."

I can't mess this up. If I mess this up she's gone. Forever.

Walking into a dim-lit room we come to a stop. A rag in hand I place it over her eyes, making sure to block her vision.

"Hey Millie?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry," I confess.

"Sorry for what?" She answer, concern bellowing in her tone, "Hey where are we? Let me see!"

"Goodnight love."
