Staring at the sky
Without any stars
Just the moon floating
In between the swarms of dark clouds.
How did time pass by so fast?
It felt like it was yesterday
When I was holding my mother's hand
Taking me to my first day at school.
It felt like yesterday
Was my first birthday
That I finally got to realise.
It felt like yesterday
When my tiny feet
Were jumping over the puddles
Like a silly little girl.
Today
I am seventeen.
And the moment
This clock strikes midnight
I would lose this moment
Forever.
But I don't want to erase this moment
I want to stay
As young as I could
And run
Like a free child.
I wish
I could freeze the time
At seventeen.
