I used to say to myself that I wouldn't fall in love unless it's someone else who falls in love first

Mina proved me wrong then

Today, we went out together for a friend's bonding. You read it right, "friends" :(

Ever since Mina saw me in person, we barely send letters at all. Unless it is something we'd like to share with each other. I want to be closer to her

I asked her out

I obviously tried to look my best, and I admit, I do look perfect. I went to her house to pick her up, and I saw her in a beautiful blue floral off-shoulder dress. Her shoulders were revealed and her dark brown hair was tied back

I was standing there, stunned by her

"y/n, take care of my Minari okay?"

Her mom called out. I promised her that I'll bring Mina home safely

We went to a fancy restaurant, and I treated her out. She was blushing the entire time, and I tried to hide my fluttering butterflies. We went to the library after eating out together to buy new books for Mina. I took out my red camcorder and took a video of her looking for books. She looked so happy after buying her favorite books. We read them at the playground to pass the time before going to the amusement park. I checked the box that was in my bag to see if it was still in good condition. Sure enough, it was

I didn't told her about it

It's actually a minimalist moon necklace that I customized at a nearby jewelry store just for her

I'm not making Mina fall in love with me through material things. Actually, I'm not forcing her to. I'm just giving her something that will make her think of me every time she wears it. And I know this would be one of them. We rode the bus together, and she suddenly fell asleep. I let her lean over my shoulder. Minutes later, we finally arrived. I gently woke her up, and her face was filled with excitement when she saw the place

When we exited the bus, Mina was running around like a little kid. And I was here, standing and looking at her like a proud parent. We bought tickets and the attendant suddenly told us,

"we have a discount for couples going here, you two look like the perfect one"

Mina and I just looked at each other and smiled awkwardly. This time, she held my hand and we walked. I couldn't stop staring at our locked hands, and I couldn't stop blushing. She's making my heart flutter again. I really thought she was one of those quiet, introverted people

I was wrong

She's just loud around people she is comfortable with. And I was one of them

We rode the carousel together even though I didn't like carousels because they were too boring for me. Mina made it fun. As usual, I was recording her having fun on the ride

She was overjoyed

Really overjoyed

This made me feel valued

We had to rest after the exhausting rides. While she was busy eating, I took the chance to give her the necklace

-y/n: Mina, I want to give you something
-Mina: what is it?

I took out the box and opened it

-Mina: is that, for me?
-y/n: yes Mina. I know it's not much but I hope you'll like it
-Mina: I do like it. Thank you y/n

She said and unexpectedly kissed my cheek

I was in a shocked state

Everything stopped again

My heartbeat is getting slower

And I am turning red

D-Did she just kiss me? I hope this isn't a dream. It wasn't, she actually did kiss me. This would probably be one of my unforgettable memories. I know it wasn't on the lips, but I didn't know Mina would do that all of a sudden

Ahh, my heart

It's melting

I snapped back to reality and saw her giggling. She had too much fun and she told me,

"Thank you for the day y/n, I had too much fun. I love you"

Okay, I might as well die now

She didn't mean it as a friend?!

Am I dreaming

Again?

Before we went home, she bought matching shirts and bracelets for us. I swear, I'll never take this off. I'll wear this every single day until I get old. We rode the bus again, and she actually got tired and fell asleep throughout the trip. The other bus stop wasn't available, so we had to walk all the way home. I gave her a piggyback ride. It was exhausting, of course. But hearing her say "thank you" as she falls asleep on my back makes it better. Her mom was shocked, of course, to see Mina sleeping. I had to explain to her everything so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings. She just told me,

"You two are really suited for each other. No one has ever treated my daughter this way. Thank you y/n"

First is Mina, next is her mom?!

I am moved

I just took a taxi on my way home. I looked back at Mina and she waved goodbye

I can finally sleep soundly as well

Good night Mina <3
