The next day Minho and Alby run into the maze to look for Ben, and Y/N stays behind. She walks up to Newt and Thomas who are working on the gardens, "hey boys" she smiles fixing one of the vines. "Hey Y/N come to join us?" Newt smiles too. Thomas looks at Y/N with confusion, "aren't you supposed to be running?" Y/N laughs "nope it's my day off so I thought I would come and help you boys with the gardens." They continued to work and talk all day until It started to rain, the gladers were hiding undercover and they had set up buckets to catch the water in. "Don't you think it's getting a bit late?" Thomas asks. "they'll be fine" Newt assures but he didn't look at it, "are you sure," Thomas asks again, "Yes now shut up" Y/N blurts out. Late afternoon comes and all the gladers gather around the entrance to the maze, "where are they" Y/N taps her foot impatiently. Just then Minho come round the corner carrying Alby, the maze doors started to close and all the gladers called and encouraged Minho to keep going. "CMON MINHO YOU CAN DO IT" Y/N yells fearing for her friends, just as the doors were about to close Thomas runs into the maze like an idiot, "THOMAS WHAT ARE YOU DOING" Everyone yells. Newt and Y/N look at each other "what the hell was he thinking" Newt slaps his face, "look if anyone can get them out of there it's Minho he knows the maze, and Thomas is stupidly smart so they will come back, I can feel it" Y/N says. "Y/N you're the only person who has ever survived the maze" Gally sighs, "and, they have knowledge of the maze, and there are two of them that's more than what I had when I was in there," she says confidently.

The next morning everyone got up at dawn to see if they survived. Y/N was in her gear ready to go running. The maze doors slowly open revealing an empty passage into the maze, "see I told you, they're not coming back" Newt says as he turns away with the other galders, Y/N looks back into the maze "no wait" she says as Thomas and Minho appear from around the corner carrying Alby, the boys turn around to see them coming out of the maze, everyone cheered and asked if they were alright, Chuck asked "did you see a griever" everyone looked at the boys "we didn't just see a griever, Thomas killed it" Minho puffs, that shocked everyone and Y/N turned to Newt "see I told you" she smirks, "Oh shush" Newt smiles. They carry Alby to the med hut and lay him down on a bed, "stung in the middle of the day that's just weird" Gally says "yeah that's two people now" Newt says. "Right go call a meeting, we need to discuss things," Y/N says. Gally runs out and gathers everyone into the meeting hut and Newt looks at her "Things are changing" she says looking down at Alby.
