"Have any of you ever studied quantum physics?" Scott asked in a rush
"Only to make conversation" Natasha answered
"Um no" Lydia said, looking at him with wide eyes
"Alright, so, five years ago, right before Thanos, I was in a place called the quantum realm" he explained, "the quantum realm is like its own microscopic universe. to get in there you have to be incredibly small"
Lydia was tempted to whisper that's what she said, but stopped herself.
"Hope. She's my um, she was my... um, She was supposed to pull me out. And then Thanos happened. And I got stuck in there" Scott expressed
"I'm sorry, that must've been a very long five years" Natasha said, making Lydia and Steve nod
"But that's just it. It wasn't." Scott said
"It was just a few hours wasnt it?" Lydia asked, making Scott nod
"Five hours. How did you- never mind i'll talk to you later" Scott said, "See the rules of the quantum realm aren't like they are here. Everything is unpredictable. Is that anybody's sandwich ??"
"Scott, what are you talking about?" Steve asked as Scott went to eat the sandwich.
"What i'm saying is, time works differently there. the only problem is, we don't have a way to navigate it. but what if we did?" Scott said, "What if we could somehow control the chaos and navigate it? What if there was a way that we could enter the quantum realm at a certain point in time but then exit at a different point. Like, before Thanos"
"Are you talking about a time machine ?" Lydia asked
"No not a time machine." Scott said, before Steve raised an eyebrow at him, "Yeah, like a time machine"
"Scott, I get emails from a raccoon. So nothing sounds crazy anymore" Natasha said seriously
"I'm all in for this. Whatever I can do, I will" Lydia stepped up
"So who do we talk to about this?" Scott asked,

"You know he isn't gonna take this lightly" Lydia said as she climbed onto her motorcycle.
"The same way Sam will be when he finds out we let you drive a motorcycle for five years?" Natasha asked
"Weren't you just grumpy like four and a half minutes ago? I don't appreciate this" Lydia responded. ————————————————————————
"A time heist" Scott said, which Tony was quick to shut down
"The stones are in the past. We could go back and get them." Steve said
"We can snap our own fingers. We can bring everybody back" Natasha said, Lydia looking up
"Or screw it up worse than he already has, right?" Tony asked
"Honestly what else could happen?" Lydia asked
They group continued to go back and forth. Scott explaining they can time travel.
"Are you telling me, your plan is based on Back To The Future?" Tony questioned
"... No" Scott said
"Good: You had me worried there" Tony said sitting back in his chair.
"Tony. We have to take a stand" Natasha said
"We did stand, and yet here we are" He replied
"I know you got a lot on the line. You got a wife, a daughter. But I lost someone very important to me. A lot of people did. And now, now we have a chance to bring her back, to bring everyone back, and you're telling me that you won't even -" Scott began
"That's right Scott. I won't even" Tony cut him off
Lydia looked down, fiddling with her fingers before looking up and smiling at Morgan as she climbed onto her dads lap.
"Mommy told me to come and save you" Morgan said
"She's adorable" Lydia smiled
"Good job. I'm saved. Thanks Lydia" Tony smiled slightly at the girl
"I'm honestly happy to see you guys, I just, oh look, tables set for six" Tony said
"Tony I get it, and I'm happy for you I really am, but this is a second chance" Steve said
"I got my second chance right here Cap" Tony said simply, "Cant roll the dice on that" ———————————————————————-
Lydia couldn't help but feel slightly frazzled as they sat in the restaurant with Bruce. Sipping her water as she looked around.
"For years i've been treating Hulk like a disease, something to get rid of. But then I start looking at him like a cure. 18 months, I put the brain and the brawn together and now look at me. best of both worlds" Bruce said
A group of kids came up to him, asking for a photo. After an awkward exchange between the kids and Scott, they walked away, allowing for Lydia to yet again awkwardly sip water. It was definitely going to be a long day. ———————————————————————
